- Republicans are emotional, passionate, and extremist.
Why else would they elect to consistently vote against their own better interests?

- "Today we need a nation of minute men; citizens who are not only prepared to take up arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of American, cannot succeed with any lesser effort."

- appleteatea .........................pro-homosexual? what the heck does that mean? Do you mean equal marraige or equal protection of gay people undet the law? You need to understand who is intimidating whom......it's the religious zealots who are behind the push to deny a minority the same rights and responsibilities they take for garanted. If gays or gay groups have said some nasty things about extremists mormons who whould relegate gays permenately to second class citizenship, then you can't brand them as something they aren't. They're mad and have every right to be so about prop 8 in california. How would you feel if someone was telling you that you aren't as "good" in someway...that you don't deserve the same rights others have? Would you be mad? Would you say nasty things about those who brand you "inferior"? Yes...YOU WOULD!

- ayesp2 ....you are out of line mister! I'm a southern liberal...born and raised in Alabama. We're not all racists or backward rubes. Yes the south has it's share of those types, but not all of us...NOT ME! In fact, I rather pride myself that I grew up in the Alabama sticks but still came out liberal. In fact my family, who have lived on the same land for 100 years are mostly liberal...so stop generalizing. That should be left to the people who don't know any better.

I apologize to you Sir; perhaps, I should have said about 30% of the southern states population but somehow this small percentage is quite belligerent to say the least, their bombastic rhetoric is all I see on FOX news.
People like you should become more vocal then again Fox news would probably interupt you and call you a non-American socialist. Maybe they are to blame for erroneous myth then again is my all fault fo watching them.

- There was a report on the threats posed by Left wing extremists. Like the report on threats posed by Right wing extremists, it was requested by Bush, and released by Obama, a few months ago. Funny how no one on that side got up in arms over it.
Guess what - extremists do pose threats. Several dead police officers can attest to the threat from someone who spent all their time listening to right-wing radio, and took the talking points too seriously. The dead children of Oklahoma City can tell you about the dangers when a former veteran gets recruited by extremist groups, and goes a bit more extreme. - Reply to this comment
- Why are the right wingers so upset about this report? I guess in their holier-than-thou reptilian brains they can't admit to themselves or to others that white supremacists and neo-Nazis are those who take the typical conservative talking points and exaggerate and distort the claims they make.
The report on left-wing extremists was issued in January. Let's admit that there are extremists on both sides of the political spectrum, from eco-terrorists on the left, to neo-Nazis on the right. This report isn't an all-conservatives-are-bad condemnation, unless all conservatives want to act like racist homophobic swine just like the white supremacists do.
But Republican hypocrisy is rampant here: how dare anybody say anything bad about any of them, they are perfect, never made a mistake in their entire lives, facts and figures that contradict their skewed world view and disagree with Jabba the Rush are all products of the "liberal media". The right, of course, is also entitled to say anything, no matter how distorted or outright false, about anybody they disagree with without so much as a peep in protest... Really really pathetic. - Reply to this comment
- Napolitano should go...now. First she in effect accuses veterans of likely becoming "terrorists" (a term she forbids in her own office when it comes to Muslim terrorists), then issues a non-apology.
The only competent person in Barack Obama's cabinet seems to be Hillary Clinton. - Reply to this comment
- Republicans, unable to counter the momentum of President Obama's brilliant leadership through our economic crisis (created by the previous 8 years they were in power) have decided that creating silly protests and stupid lies will somehow help them regain power. This is a mistake. Your crazy stories and name calling will lead you to an even deeper defeat in 2012. You would be better served to read what Intelligent Conservatives, like Cal Thomas' column in today's newspapers, which is at least fair in his assessment of OUR President.
