- ON RELIGION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. The people who want to share their religious views with you never want you to share yours with them.
2. If there is really a God who created the entire universe with all of its glories, and He decides to deliver a message to all of humanity, HE WILL NOT use as HIS messenger, a person on cable TV with a bad hairstyle and his hand out for money.
3. If there is really a God who created the entire universe with all of its glories, and He decides to deliver a message to all of humanity, HE WILL NOT use as HIS messenger, a person on TV who says I?m running for President, Senator, Governor, Representative, etc as his chosen representative. - Reply to this comment
- I wouldn't doubt that there are great numbers of professed christians, however their actions and morality proclaim otherwise.
All religions are very similar and in many cases duplicate politics. Its all about power, control and money. You cant tell me that a screaming, crying, praying TV evangelist with his hand out for your money is not a twin brother to a politician running for office!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Reply to this comment
- This is a predominately Christian nation but it is not a Christian nation. This is a secular country just as our founders envisioned. Somehow the wisdom of those who men has been lost on today's Christians.

- The vast majority of Christians must announce to the world their religious beliefs because you could not identify them as Christians by observing their actions.

That would involve actually living their beliefs and not being posers... - Reply to this comment
- In my entire life I have met 2 or 3 people who act like Christians. Their behavior in everyday life is the expression of their beliefs.

- snarkysnark , there's the truth. Yes, that was apparently how Jesus was, but if you read every historical source, and I've read them all, humans immediately bent the faith to serve their own secular ends. Christianity is a human-created joke, and always has been ..

- I'll bite, Brian. Gosh, there's so much to talk about here. Not! What an idiotic question for us all to ponder and debate. "Is the US a Christian Nation?" Yes, we're an Iranian-style theocracy. Yes, Jefferson (who wasn't any Christian) and friends envisioned an American Saudi Arabia. The first amendment forbids any such thing. By the way, despite what Brian the Gadfly says, we get all our laws and morality from the secular side of society which is our only civilizing influence.
