- "Ok...Jesus said to love the sinner...not the sin."
I'm reasonably familiar with the Bible, and don't recall Jesus ever saying that. Please tell me where he said that or don't put words in Jesus' mouth. - Reply to this comment
- I am done here. To those who argued respectfully..good day...to those that were spiteful and hateful...good riddance.

Do you often wish yourself "good riddance"? I must admit that I find that a bit odd... - Reply to this comment
- My marriage is not so weak that it is threatened by someone else's ability to also get married. Once upon a time these same arguments, this same fear, was applied to interracial marriage, the efforts to end laws banning interracial marriage. Not long from now, this bit of bigotry will seem like the same thing - an archaic prejudice built of ignorance, now gratefully in the past.

- And who's "morality" do you propose we use?

- This is ridiculous and a waste of money. We have so many worse problems in this country and idiots want to waste money on promoting hate. Gay marriage doesn't hurt you. Why do you care what people do in their own bedrooms. And this ad is full of lies. We don't teach kids about straight marriage in school, we aren't all of a sudden going to teach same-sex marriage. I'm a proud Christian and believe in love for all. And the Bible is a teaching tool, isn't meant to be taken in a literal context. If it was then women should be subservient to their husbands, men shouldn't shave their beards, and kids who act out against their parents should be stoned to death. It's amazing to me that people pick and choose passages out of the Bible to further a cause of hate.
