- A few judges mistaking themselves for legislators are trying to dictate our nation's morality. This will end eventually.

And who's "morality" do you propose we use? - Reply to this comment

- Murder is illegal. Adultery often winds up in court when it comes to light. Homosexuality fits neither scenario.

You are wrong. In some states there are still anti-sodomy laws on the books. Gay sex is direct violation of those laws.

You have a long way to go convincing America of your nonsense. A VAST majority of Americans share my belief on this subject according to every survey out there. You just have to deal with it. You are wrong. - Reply to this comment
- Ffoulkes----You are wrong, the Lawrence case threw out all anti -sodomy laws throughout the nation.Do your research before posting.

- Ffoulkes----You have the audacity to compare a loving marriage between same-sex partners with murder and adultery?
You are moreof a whack job than I ever expected.Do you even realize how hateful you sound?Do you really believe that jesus would approve of that kind of talk?
If so, Thangkgoodness I'm not christian. You need to talk to Paul Minnow. - Reply to this comment

- FFoulkes----Don't even presume that christians have a monopoly on morality. You have plenty of skeletons in your closets.Don't presume that you have the moral highground either because you don't.
Many of you hide behind your cross as you attack others and use your bible as an excuse to judge and condemn others.

It is true that all men sin. It is also true that gay marriage has never existed in the US until now, and that it is a sin. So is murder, adultry, etc. I am all for outlawing sinful actions...hey, wait...that is what our laws already do...with the one exception of a few states allowing gays to 'marry'. - Reply to this comment
- Ok...Jesus said to love the sinner...not the sin. homosexuality is a sin. I love the person, but will not condone the sin. Gay marriage (which has never been legal in this country) would be sin, so I don't condone and will do all I can to get rid of it. Same as murder, adultry, etc.

Doesn't matter what your book of fairy tales says - we're dealing with reality here.

- And it's funny how these folks cite the bible when it suits them. What about the positive teaching of the bible like tolerance, forgiveness, love thy neighbor, etc.?

LOL - Comedy. Some American Christian who thinks that she knows what god's opinion is.
Actually maam, you know what the guy who takes your donations and spends it on lawyers and advertising tells you - that's what you know. Nothing more.

Well-tempered logical arguments are always welcome, whether or not I agree with them. I always look for the opportunity to actually learn something, and I have by watching you two converse. - Reply to this comment

- There are many religious people who interpret what different texts mean on their own and are all for inclusive policies like gay marriage.

I would hope, for the good of all people, that men of science would keep an open mind and consider all possibilities.
To take such a posture in matters of behavior is a giant step backwards into darkness.
