speakingup: "When do I get the right to marry my dog ? "

When you dog is able to read and sign a contract. Until then, you'll have to continue living in sin.

Becareful about calling 2/3 of America homophobes. Is'nt that the frist thing to fly out of the mouths of the homosexual community when people do not fall in line with thier beliefs.

When do I get the right to marry my dog ?

If marriage is going to be allowed between two males or two females, why not between myself and my dog ?

Or what about among three people ?

Why not ? I mean, if we are going to change the definition of marriage, why not open all the doors ?

Another point, It seems a lot of the religious and those so supernaturally minded are hung up on the actual word "marriage" as if that has some special meaning. What is so special about the word? Call it "herfnuffling" for all I care. I just want to see all my fellow Americas treated fairly and with respect that the rest of the population enjoys without having to fight for it.

It is amazing that the nay-sayers of same sex marriage almost always tend to take the more radical view when faced with two adult person wanting the same rights as other adults. The nay-sayers will compare it to beastiailty and incest and other illegal activities.

Plus the most time any of these people give a damn about anything in the Bible is when it has to do with them controlling other people lives. They should first look at themselves.

A common effort of distortion by liberals is to mislead or to distract with name calling.

Marriage (and the decision to recognize same-sex marriage or not) is the realm of churches, families, and cultures and should remain there. Government has no business defining "marriage."

So you are saying we should have no laws governing the contract of Marriage? A man can enter into as many contracts as he wants? Marry a child or two if he wants? Your hood and sheet are showing my friend!! READ the 14th Amendment. If you lack the education to read it, take it to your local elementary school tomorrow and have them read it to you... have them explain it as well!! My goodness it's amazing how little people know about our Constitution and how we got here! Absolutely AMAZING!!

It seems to be that America is splintered in so many ways. People want whats best for them and the hell with everyone else. I wonder how much longer we will last as a nation.

What are you talking about?? Since we ditched the Republican Party that held power with Wedge Issues, we have seen more unity than anytime in my memory. Last week when our New President was in Europe, I've never seen people more proud! In fact the ONLY people I see upset are the fringe groups and the Radical Religious factions. That's their problem because, as everyone can now see, the only thing they wanted was to bring the Government into the family, making decisions THEY should be making.

Is that from the same poll, that says Obama's approval rating is now 14%, that you wouldn't provide the link to when I asked for it?
