NOT legalizing pot certainly won't convince me to trust the government or pay my taxes!

see, when police sworn to protect you instead point machine guns at you and your family, you tend to develop trust issues with the government after that.

so if Obama wants my support for his taxpayer funded Social welfare programs, he can kiss my a$$

The real question should have been:

Mr. President, Would you veto a bill that legalizes pot?

Cannabis is perfectly legal in the United States, if the plant does not exceed the limit for THC. Pharmacies may sell cannabis for smoking. The Police arrest those who use cannabis with a high THC content. After heavy use and the chemical level is strong, psychosis occurs.

Legalizing pot will drive up the stock price of Doritos and Little Debbie donuts. That would help the economy.

DOAGOP,
Today mostly only rich people legally own automatic weapons and there are over half a million of them in civilian hands. I happen to believe that people who are not rich can and should be just as capable of being trusted to own any kind of firearm they want.

The "drug war" is largely a war on minorities since they are a majority of the people who are being arrested.
Obama has stabbed every African American in the back!

It would definitely defang the Mexican drug cartels, and helpeliminate a very large headache for both the US and Mexico!

It would help capture tax dollars for the government though, and might help reverse the trend of having more people in jail than any other country. Both of those things could help the economy. But no, the drug companies bought their government, and it works for them.

So much for CHANGE! Looks like the handlers already have him brainwashed.

Same ol lame excuse to keep his (their) image untarnished while he sucks on a cold beer after a hard day at the office.

He 'doesn't think' is an understatement.

What kind of product is going to generate the zillions of dollars that he'll be needing shortly - or at least put a dent in it. Otherwise it'll be taken right out of your check or on April 15.

I can see right through the lies.
Obama needs marijuana prohibition and all the crime and violence it causes because this can easily be used as an excuse to further restrict our right to keep and bear arms. Same thing happened during alcohol prohibition when all that crime and violence was used as an excuse to restrict the ownership of automatic weapons.

So much for "green jobs", ROTFL.

In seriousness: I hope these investments come soon. I've gathered China and other countries are already working big on solar and other technologies, so we're probably behind on that too.

Maybe we do need a one world currency and TRUE globalization.

It might not grow the economy but it would be cool! Seriously, decriminalizing pot would succeed in making it boring...if it isn't already...and legalzing it would save billions of $ spent on the fruitless practice of prosecuting, encarcarating and "rehabilitating" pot smokers and, like it or not, would give us a new source of revenue through the doubtless extremely steep taxes that could/should be placed on legal pot. It also would provide the opportunity to keep it out of the hands of non-adults (kids) much the same way alcohol (for the most part) is.
