- Obama says he is signing this bill because it is necessary to keep the government running. Isn't that going to be the case with all bills with earmarks? Every time Congress sends up a bill that they know he has to sign, they will add on their pet projects. Obama can't stop this. Despite all the smooth talk he is just another politician after all.

- I'm very disappointed that President Obama has compromised his stand on fixing government. He wants "his" bill passed and will do anything to get it done, even lying to the American people about fixing government and promoting change.

Your messiah is a joke, a sham and nothing more than an empty suit. I just a few short months we have seen the savings of working Americans lost solely due to this clown. Queen nance is the real power behind the suit. ]

- I think the point is there are Republican and Democrat Senators and Congressmen that feel they are entitled to all of this money. Barack Obama can't make them change. We as Americans can.

- [How many promises does Obama have to break before the Media cares or reports on it? ]

how many more years of remedial reading classes will you need to identify the fact that the very story you're commenting on is covering the fact that he made a commitment in the campaign ... explains the reason for signing ... and includes his exact words as a means to explain it why he's signing ... despite the presence of the earmarks.
so what's your problem? - Reply to this comment

- This is a perfect example of what has gotten o be the "Obama Script":
1) make a promise
2) reneg on the promise
3) try to deflect blame by citing some minor fault with your opposition
4) claim you "INHERITED" this problem even though your party has controlled government for over 2 yrs now....repeat he mantra "INHERITED, INHERITED, INHERITED, INHERITED"
5) make another lame promise which of course you'll break
6) REPEAT FROM STEP 3)
