Boehner is a JOKE!!! He's a BIG reason that we Americans are in this mess.. He voted in goose step with bush for the last 8 years, and now that we have a Democrat in the W.H., that can fix the problems, he starts throwing in the monkey wrench.. What a Hypocrite.. I hope that the people that voted for him boot his dumb butt out of office.

It is a shame that it took Boehmer 8 years to get religion.

Will someone please tighten the noose around Boehners neck? At least until he quiets down on his useless garble.

This guy is an idiotic hypocrite. What was he doing during the flagrant spending of the Bush years? Did he endorse a war for which no money was budgeted? The GOP is full of useless lying hypocrites like Boehner.

if Boner keeps calling attempted solutions; Socialism, can that be any worse than the capitalism that he and the neocons have been selling since Regan, when they continuously deregulated and emasculated government so that capitalists could suck all of the financial assets out of small and medium sized companies and form multinational behemoths.

It amazes me that the people of Ohio could elect this Hooverite. I have yet to hear any new ideas from the GOP. It's always the same old song and dance-do nothing, the market will sort it out, who cares about the meek, we only have ears for the those that can buy access, etc.... This guy is advocating along with the rest of the GOP good old boys the bankruptcy of GM but save AIG, BoA, Citigroup, etc... Hasn't this idiot learned anything from the demise of Lehman Brothers? Hasn't this dufuss learned anything from the failed policies of Hoover? I'm surprised the GOP isn't advocating a balanced budget, tax increase and return to the gold standard. Where did this guy get his degree out of a Cracker Jack Box?

"tightening its belt," ..."lead by example."

How about "a stitch in time saves nine" or "don't run with the scissors" ? Or one of my favorites "liberals are ___", fill in the latest rush lie.

Empty sloganeering, a neocon hallmark that works is working less & less all the time.

Government must spend during financially depressed periods to create jobs. And during boom periods government has to save to prepare for the depressed periods. Republican's way to run economy is not acceptable.

typical republicans! talk of fiscal restraint; oh but wait, they spent like crazy these last 8 years. even today, most of the earmarks that mcclone is complaining about come from republicans!

this is exactly why americans voted overwhelmingly for barack obama and the democrats! hope over fear. change is here.

it would seem quite evident....BOTH parties are Corrupt and up to their necks in blame for ALL our problems.......Nothing will get straightened out ...until we rid congress of both parties and STOP lobbying all together,,,,One of Obamas campaign promises was to stop lobbying,,,then he went back on his word.......that just proves that money talks louder than honest actions......America is headed for a revolution if Washington and congress continue their wicked ways of selling representation to the highest bidder, and committing TREASON.
