Pres. Obama should have announced a proposal to tax bonuses at a higher rate than other income, unless the banks and brokerages that paid the bonuses in 2008 put the same amount (almost $19B) into home mortgages or into inurance payments to defrauded investors.

He needed a plan to put leverage on the financial institutions, but he chose demagoguery.

Yes. Spending 18-20 billion dollars is shameful and fraudulent and there must be a consequence for that irresponsiblity. Families across the nation know how this accountability works if they have ever "used" money for the government for food stamps or for SSI (supplemental income). If you earn $25.00 more than expected you have to report that and that affects how much money you will get for food the next month. My son has a disablity and if I tried to make and REPORT any extra income, the $500.00 maximum would minimized the next month. We tettered for years on the poverety line but our family decided I would stay home instead of pay out for child care. WHY ARE THESE MILLIONAIRES ONLY GETTING A VERBAL WARNING. The Feds need to treat them as they have done to all of us all these years or is the government /Wall Street so far out of touch with grass roots America - Dems and Rebs alike? Go after their fraudulency. They do it to us!
