Obama''s administration has hit the ground running and is off to a good start. The one message that Americans must heed, is Obama''s call to service, for the Obama administration cannot do this alone.

If Obama were so concerned about the economic emergency, he would have cut the inaugural budget. His committee raised $40 million dollars for the inaugural. Why wasn%u2019t he concerned about the economy then? To attend a ball where the most of the food consisted of cheese and crackers, and people stood up the whole night, that should have been less than a couple of thousand dollars.

I hope Obama will do more reduce the budget when it comes to himself, not his staff and Americans.

Do yourself a favor, go back a few pages on this post and see what Bush spent on his inagural.

---------------

Some people just can''t seem to stop the hate. The Inaugural Committee RAISED money from people who DONATED money who WANTED to PARTICIPATE in this historic event.

Well... you might as well get used to trying to find fault where this is none.

Were you as critical of any of the previous administration''s actions? There were plenty of faults there that you didn''t have to try to find.

This is all BS just to make Obama look good. Nothing is changing.

Nothing changes for those who are "stuck on stupid". Only an idiot would expect great change in one day--go take your meds--turn on Lintball, Hannity or Fake news, stay in your delusional little world and the rest of us will progress, better yet, I bet there''s available housing in Crawford, TX., but ole Bushie didn''t give a rats petutti about you while he was in office why should he now?

Don''t you get it?!? The balls were as much for the people of the United States as it was for the President and first lady. It was a way for the PEOPLE as well as the elected officials to CELEBRATE a turning point in history.

The title of this article should be: "President Obama achieves more for the American people in one day than Bush did in 8 years."

laurieleemoo....I think you misread my post. Read it again and see if you can understand it. And just where the hell do you get off saying that I don''t give a schite about America and that I disrespected Bush. I didn''t! Not once! When America went to war in Nam I enlisted and served my country with pride. When did you serve? From the tone of your post it is obvious that you hate America and would love to see her fall just so you can say I told you so. It is people like you who have no idea what you are talking about that stand in the way of uniting our country again. I don''t know what your major malfunction is but I suggest that if you are going to declare war you watch very carefully who you declare it on. I will not waste any more time with you since it is obvious that you are no nothing troll who does not have the ability to engage in rational intelligent discourse. So scream all you want....only your fellow trolls are listening.

WOW, I cant believe this, and if he does it for as long as the wages of the people is down and then doesnt give the politicians a massive pay rise after the ban I will be amazed.
But there are other ways of giving these guys a pay rise as we have seen here in OZ, they have given a few thousand more for stamps so as they have more money to reply to people who write them letters, then there is travel, they can give them a bit more for travel, etc etc....
It doesnt have to be the wages that they put up but their expenses can go up which is vertually the same..

I well remember some of your anti-Obama posts - they were lurid to say the least. It is a sign that our country may yet recover from its recent fall from grace when some of those who have fought against the newly installed president while he was campaigning for the job are now willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. "O" will inevitably scr&w up but I believe he, at least has his heart in the right place. Our best chances lie in our setting aside partisan differences and attempting to work together to help return the United States to display the greatness we still have but have done so well to hide.
Thank you for your trust. I believe it will not be misplaced

There''s an Obama plan. Punish the productive who rise to high paying jobs because it wouldn''t be "fair" to people who did less, or nothing.
