A 3rd world doctor who would sew up a sponge inside a patient, appointed by a 3rd world immigrant from Kenya who wouldn''''t know what a qualified doctor looked like.

Gawd forbid you should actually read his bio or his resume when your prejudices fill in all the blanks for you right? Which red(neck) state are ya''ll from?

I suggest a two tiered system, public health for those who are willing to put up with it and don''t want to pay and private sector for those of us who don''t want to wait in lines.

alpha...you have your head up your azz. i voted for obama. I''m a liberal, which is something Obama seems to be shying away from. I did not vote for him over Hillary Clinton just to have him choose her as our secretary of state when she has foreign policy views in direct contrast to his. She is just the first. So, before you go shooting off your ignorant mouth, know of what you speak.

Hey Mr. Gupta how about you get a forum of Doctors, Insurance Execs, Politicians to figure out this sky high cost of health care. Maybe you could suggest that employers get out of the health care business and consumers are offered more options.

What about Dr. Oz? He''''s just as qualified. Honestly, Barack Obama has absolutely stunned me with his cabinet choices. Seems to me like he''''s azzkissing and wants everyone to like him. Oh well, only 4 years. He keeps this up, he''''ll never get a second shot.

Folks we are about to see this nation try some NEW and Different ways of doing things. We are going to see a new generation with new ideas and dreams of doing things better coming up with approaches we haven''t thought of before. Will they all work, of course not but the key and the thing that we have been missing for decades now is the feeling that, "YES WE CAN" get it done!!

I repeatedly say he is a true "African American" he has no ties to the Black American experience however he was smart enough to take advantage of the American Dream which many who voted for him did not do.

You are so full of it, it is painful. Colin Powell a turncoat?? Turncoat to whom? I noticed the only blacks that you mentioned were Republican suck-ups. That that is the grand dream for black Americans. To be Republican suck-ups. You think he has no ties to the black American experience. Is that a pre-requisite to be president?? You think the last 43 presidents that we have elected have had genuine ties to the "black American" experience.
Like I said. You are so full of it, it hurts.

Sanjay Gupta for Surgeon General tells me that OBAMA is about Hollywood imagery and showmanship. Are people that stupid they can''''t see through the glitz of the roman columns??? Why would he picked the guy that bagged Rudi Baktiar on CNN for this high profile role.

Well, he seems like a good choice, the only bad thing is that we have a serious shortage of neuro-surgeons in this country. It is one of the specialties that the mal-practice insurance is so high that it discourages young doctors from entering that field. Maybe he could set up a surgery room wherever his office is in Washington and do those on the side!

Liberalism, or Communism as it''''s more accurately known, is the big con. Only people who "know" that they''''re smart will fall for it, the "stupid people" see the lies for what they are.

Posted by peace4321

Hahahaha--the big "CON" was nicely preformed by none other than the "George Bush troupe". They keenly planned and executed a manufactured invasion of Iraq, they "got away" with the deaths of thousands, and picked the American pockets clean---the only area they failed in was "oil"----oops

The only stupid people around (about 20%) are those Bush cult koolaid drinkers who will die swearing Bush kept us safe---perhaps, he failed to protect us from himself!

I think everyone should look at his work before they make a comment. He is a very hard working, knowledgeable, educated and experienced young man. It is a rare combination you will find in him. No wonder he was selected to work on 60 minutes also. I am glad he is being chosen. All the best to him.

Military physicians are transplant students completing internships in US soil.

Go to your nearest VA Hospital, what do you notice, they use manuals locted on the top right drawer to help them through surgeries, don''t speak English, rely on nurses from Philippines to pretend they no exactly what they are doing...

Your post has good merrit for concern.

Hey, walt44, you do understand that, unlike your examples, Gupta is a REAL surgeon? Served in Iraq? What do you have against qualified people? Oh, never mind, you''re one of those partisans, aren''t you?
