Mr. Schieffer why are you wasting the american peoples'' time by interviewing this person. He will say only what he wants to say. He did not alter his veiw in any sort, he did not answer why he and the president are regarded poorly and have the lowest approval rating in HISTORY. Why didn''t you ask that question?

Actually, StLouBill, Bush''s approval was even higher than 80% at one point in time.
Bush holds the distinction of having both the highest and the lowest approval ratings of any president over the 70 years that the Gallop Poll has been conducted.
Oct. 9, 2001 - One month after the Twin Towers were attacked, Bush''s approval rating was at 92%.
April 22, 2008 - Bush''s approval rating was at 28%. (This rating may even be lower by now.)

One BIG problem with that is that the "good guys" ALWAYS think they have caught the "bad guys" and so they are "justified" in using evil means (torture) to get at "the truth". Another BIG problem with that is that TORTURE IS NOT A RELIABLE MEANS TO EXTRACT THE TRUTH from anyone! It DOES NOT WORK! If you are tortured, you tell your torturer what you think he wants to hear, to get him to stop torturing you. That DOES NOT get the truth. If the tortured person has a secret, then the torturer DOES NOT know the secret, and the tortured WILL NOT reveal the secret... instead he will tell you something he thinks you want to hear... basically what you already think you know.
Torture is EVIL. There is NO JUSTIFICATION WHATSOEVER.
