- You are missing the point. The birth of Christ is the divine birth of God in a body. The old and new testaments were inspired by the same Deity. Immanuel means God with Us. That is the name of Jesus in the Old Testament. You can continue to have your opinion, but facts are facts. God loves all of us sinners, whatever sin(s) it may be, but we must turn to Him and He does the work of changing us. Merry Christmas
