I am ambivalent. I see them smiling and joking and it makes me feel good inside.

Then I look at their stiff posture, and notice the odd pacing of their conversation.

Then I think about how in minutes, they'll put their masks back on and resume the game of influencing us.

Note that they are not talking about health care. Why should they, they have it for life, paid by you. Note they are not worrying about retirement. Why should they, they have a great retirement plan, paid for by you. Note they are not talking about the rate of unemployment and the fact that all jobs are now in China. Who cares, they have a job. Paid forby you. Note they are not talking about the price of gas. Why should they, they ride for free. Paid for by you. Notice that they are not doing anything at all for the country or for you. Why should they? They are fat and happy, Paid for by you.

i love biden but he has to learn to recognize what a microphone is and does. i think the only people really upset about this will be the teaparty (a name they stole from a historic Massachusetts event) i don't think they will like boehner talking to the vice president of a nazi muslim socialist-marxist regime, too bad boehner is now toast

"a nazi muslim socialist-marxist regime"???? Seriously? Are you really such an idiot that you seriously believe that? You poor deluded fool. The repubs really have you by the short hairs! Go back to watching TV. It's much safer than the real world.

Most democrats and Republicans take this so serious, they think these people really hate each other when in fact they are actually friends. It the media that do all the peace breaking to get rating. They hate it when they are peaceful.

Good Grief! World ends, film at eleven. A Republican and a Democrat talking to each other? The horror of it all!

What would you like them to do? Argue? Swear? Gossip about others? Beat each other bloody?

Connect with reality, Christine! Haven't you ever talked about life at a funeral? It helps ease the tension and makes the situation more bearable.

How does this qualify as anything other than rabble-rousing on the part of CBS? Shame on them for trying to create something when there is nothing there.

Well in light of all the visceral division, it is actually refreshing to see/hear them treating each other as colleagues and human beings. Perhaps we all need to tone down the angry rhetoric and respect each other. If Biden and Boehner can have a sense of humor we should, as well.

Did they use the "f" word? Or does joe keep that type of conversation for his main man?
