After John Kerry teed off on the Tea Party saying they should be censored it would take an idiot to put him on a committee with hopes of getting a bipartisan agreement.

nadokatie so you think that tea party members will be on the committee?
nadokatie replies:

thechoochi1 - I doubt if tea party members will be on the committee. However, since they represent millions of hard working Americans trying to pay off the debt to save the country, if an idiot like Kerry mouths off there could be riots in the street.

John Kerry is a true American Hero. And like those who are coming back this week from Afghanistan in coffins, John Kerry risked his life because his country asked him too.

RobAla says:
By "balanced approach" President Obama means "tax increases on American businesses and citizens". Just because he says it is a balanced approach, it does not make it so. This approach punished successful businesses and people, at a time when unemployment is high, and it will drive unemployment even higher.

The horrible health care law imposes huge expenses on businesses, so that business owners are forced to put money aside for it instead of hiring American workers, If that saved money is taken in increased taxation, then some businesses will go under. This will cause greater unemployment.
Increased taxation on the few Americans left with discretionary funds (the so called rich) that can be used to purchase goods and services from businesses (those businesses that need to sell goods and services in order to retain workers) will result in less business. The less business, the fewer jobs. This will result in unemployment to rise even higher.

Regardless of what President Obama calls taxing Americans more, it is very bad for employment. I don't see anything "balanced" about the expansion of the federal government at the expense of private sector jobs. Sounds like the deck is stacked against businesses, in favor of the bloated and wasteful federal government.

RobAla how about giving it a rest. The revenue (tax) increases are aimed at the wealthy, not businesses or middle class Americans. You know this but continue to post this kind of dribble. The vast majority of Americans want revenue increases and spending cuts, not just spending cuts that will kill our economy.

Hey "thechooch", based on the threshold levels that Obama throws out, his revenue increases do hit both small business owners and upper middleclass. In other words, your comment is much more "dribble" (which I suspect was supposed to be "drivel") than RobAla's pretty accurate summary could ever be. Suggest you engage the brain before the typing fingers....

It appears the Democrates are serious. When we see the Republican committee, we will know if they are serious.

I am hoping the Democrats are serious and secure some backbone. The republicans are already on record as to their stipulations, what they will not do and, by inference, who they will send to the table. I greatly fear the Tea Party agenda will be their guideline and Mr McConnell's agenda, as stated in public press conference, to destroy this administration no matter what the cost , will prevail.

Who in there right mind would have picked these "big spenders"? I want to personally condemn all the republicans, RINOs and dimocrats of the 112th congress along with the naked emperor (the one pretending to be a president) for destroying America as we knew it. It was tough enough restoring the economy after 9-11 but you, you gang of self-righteous profiteers, have managed to destroy the 401k's, savings, retirement plans, home values, limit small business growth, destroy, tax structures, and still vote yourselves pay raises as if you have performed well during the last three years with the naked emperor. The uniformed want to blame it on partisan political measures - WRONG - you pass all the spending bills, you all allocated the taxpayers dollar to benefit your own selfish and corrupt agendas and you are all complicit. Why anyone would vote for the existing Senators, Representatives or the naked emperor is beyond me - I WON"T!

I am so sorry America!! The people of WA voted Patty Murray back in (not I, I voted for anyone else but her) and now the rest of the country has to deal with her crazy ideas!!! She came out yesterday and said that we need to retraining the unemployed, not sure if she already knows this or not but WE ALREADY HAVE A RETRAINING PROGRAM WITHIN EMPLOYMENT SECRURITY!! Do I hear another Stimulus Package coming or wanting another one?

Sorry, but most job retraining programs have been erased by states controlled by republican legislatures. I don't buy in to a "stimulus" but something has to push corporate folks from the profit margin mentality to the job investment mentality and a mechanism for partnership needs to happen before anything will move forward
