Gender is not the issue. The Democrats have had woman run for The Presidency in the past. Long before it was "in vogue" for the right. The fact is that Ms. Bachmann made statements that were less the true and she's getting called on it. Our President and his family have been under a constant barrage of insults and lies since he became President and before. His name, his race, his intelligence,his allegiance, his birth right, have all been assaulted. Some have even gone after his wife and young children. Why is that acceptable? Many of the comments here have been out right racist. As a Liberal,I would support any person of any gender,race,religion etc. I don't support facts being distorted and in this case they were. Remember Us Liberals have a much much better track record regarding women's rights than the conservatives. It's about time women have become viable candidates. I'm sorry the two you have chosen really isn't a viable candidate.
Koch-snorting Snowflake Michelle Bachman never explains why she took the welfare checks of 23 children in need, but never bothered to become financially responsible (adopting) even one of them. Is it possible none of these children met the threshold of value where Bachman would become interested in more than the welfare check she received to warehouse these children? Can anyone support a candidate who only sees Americans as potential sources of her personal revenue?
Bachmann is an ongoing radical proponent (as opposed to all the Republicons and Corporate Democrats) of failed Reaganomics and the globalization that is ruining the planet.
Obama is for the globalization. Every speech he touts the need for America to fix the global economy. He's promised BILLIONS of borrowed funds to his foreign friendes. He makes more income from foreign sources than he does from American. And he just sold off over 1 million in personal holdings of treas debt because he doesn't see the US as a sound investment.
Palin would never accept the VP slot again, especially with Bachmann at the top of the ticket.
We may need a Rick to intervene. Either Perry or Santorum would have the same appeal to the religious right extremists (as well as the same lack of appeal to the voters in the center) -- which would end up giving Obama/Biden a clear path to another term.
America is not really an extremist country. The media loves the play between "left" and "right".... most voters want someone with a more reasonable attitude.
There are people who voted for Obama/Biden in 2008 because this team was the most moderate. I personally know registered Republicans that cast their first ever vote for a Dem P/VPOTUS ticket, because they didn't want religion anywhere near the helm of the USA.

Little Miss bubble-head lied yesterday about farm subsidies. She's listed as a partner in her family's farm business. She profited from that business. But she says that the Govt. funds that went to that business had nothing to do with her. Only in bubble-head land would this fly. And it seems little Miss bubble-head is a big Pork-Barrel spender, too. Before the earmark ban took effect, she earmarked 3.7 million for her district. And as a state senator she pushed for 60 million in pork. She also welcomed the Govt. intervening in the pork and dairy industry to stabilize prices, which is totally against the Pubtarts 1st commandment - keep the Govt. out of the markets. Auto bailouts are forbidden, but bailouts for the pork and dairy industry in Minnesota are A - okay. What a welfare Queen. Little Miss Nanny-State. After 30 years of fiscal recklessness, the GOP have no business preaching to the quire about spending. Especially when Ryan's reckless budget robs our healthcare and retirement, and leaves us 23+ trillion in debt in 2021. More Pubtart trickle down economics. The trillions that Wall Street are sitting on now still isn't enough. The bottom 80% of the country have now been reduced to less than 10% of the wealth, and the Pubtarts want that, too...
