As an Independent voter, every time I tune in with interest hoping to hear something new from ANY Republican than makes sense, instead they repeat garbage I know has already ruined the country. Spouting the claim to being conservatives isn't the same as using 'common sense'. I'm conservative, railing against all the usual stupidity like a total failure to control immigration, deficit-based spending, etc., then I hear Bachmann (and the rest) repeat 'The Great Lie' used by Republicans since time began, namely, if we don't let Wall Street run wild, unfettered by regulation we will hamstring job growth. Twenty years of Republican and Democratic malfeasance guided by unlimited bribe money from lobbyists resulted in the removal of Wall Street regulations like the Glass-Steagal Act, gave us new disasters like the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 and repeal of the net capital rule for brokerage houses, three act of legislation directly responsible for the financial meltdown. How's that working for you? After decades of promise has anyone on Congress stopped ANY of the monumental loss job loss to other countries? Why not? Have laws giving 'big business' (including Wall Street) huge tax breaks and deregulation helped us in all these years? I can't see it from where I stand. The jobs continue to go overseas, my standard of living continues to drop, Wall Street executives continue to get millions in bonuses. I know the The Big Lie when I see and hear it.
