More than 50% of all children are sexually molested by the adults in their lives, and 2010 we know about at least 800,000, which means the actual number is more than double. There were 1.2 million abortions in 2010, and 65-70% of them occurred because of failed birth control. People who were trying to not get pregnant in the first place, but now they will, thanks to religious zealots who have to push their violating ignorance. Will Conservatives will be unhappy when they go on welfare or end up living on the streets and turn to drugs, gangs, crime, or ends up the victim of child trafficking?. Planned Parenthood helped 300,000 people terminate a pregnancy and 65-70% of them were pregnant due to failed birth control. That is your view on life but it seems the tide might be changing in America back to respecting life. Why should we not fight to get laws passed when we believe that abortion is murder? You can call it anything you want but abortion ends a life. And Planned Parenthood is at the center of the problem, here is a quote that best sums them up.
However, even if our consciences do not object to funding armaments, another moral challenge may be even more disturbing. Planned Parenthood, through promoting abortions, has killed far more people than the Third Reich did. It is the most efficient mass-murder machine ever devised and is funded by our federal tax dollars. It may not use our tax money to abort babies but our taxes buy and maintain the office, hire the personnel, and pay for the counseling that leads to the abortion. Even though an accountant can separate on the books the funding of abortions and the funding of abortion chambers, in reality they are one. What sense does it make to say: "I don't finance abortions. I just pay for the office, the personnel, and the counseling"? Of course, only a small percentage of our federal tax dollars go to Planned Parenthood but those small percentages add up to a multi-billion dollar funding. How can we go on praying for life and paying for death?

Supporting yet another high priced bailout of the larger of the current medical providers in this country? When will the Tea Party permit cost effective solutions instead of requiring the government to pay list price for the prescription drugs acquired through the Medicare Prescription Drug program as required twice by Republicans once in 2003 and again in 2011 by the Tea Party Republicans --- what makes the MOST EXPENSIVE solutions the only ones the Republicans allow to government programs.
Lowering the costs of medical services is one of the goals of health care reform. This move is in complete opposition to those goals -- guaranteed increases of costs forcing them to be performed in larger and less specialized facilities. Yet another case of higher costs mandated for government financed or assisted programs by the Republicans for well over a decade now.
Remember despite Senator Kyl's self-acknowledged fabrications in the Senate floor that he had removed from the "official printed record". 95+% of Planned Parenthood activities have NOTHING to do with abortion.
So would you all who think abortion is such a right, be happy if you had been aborted? Or why can't we just kill you if we don't want you? What about old people who are in nursing homes and can't take care of themselves, should we just kill them too? Every child deserves the chance to live, if you made the mistake of getting pregnant, you need to live up to it and have the kid. It isn't 'your' right to an abortion, it's the fetus's right to life. As a hoosier I think this is a great first step.
If I lived in Indiana I would be aghast at the chronic waste of money this will cause. One does not have to be an economist to work out it is cheaper for government to pay for effective contraception than the state to support the unwanted child. (oh and obviously yes, children from middle class wage earning families also cost the taxpayer).
