Dear Ms Bachmann..... Where is your science degree? Do you have one? If not, please stop taking the very breath of life from my grandchildren by putting back the very poluters we fight hard to eliminate. I am a Republican, Conservative and most of all a human living on this planet. I changed all of my light bulbs over 7 years ago with the new bulbs and have not had to change any of them. My electric bill went down over $30 dollars and has not risen. I change out all of my Christmas decorations to LED's and reduced my electric bill significatantly. Now having said that, I am a responsible person who takes the planet seriously..... but many do not and think that it is some one else responsibility to take of it..... ARE YOU ONE OF THEM? Sometimes we need laws to make the irresponsible humans to comply for the sake of the rest of us...

If you want to save the laws and budget of theis country, then I suggest that you and your family give back the subsidies you have taken from the American people to run your farm and help the poor buy the bulbs they need to light their lives up and you and your family can work your farm the way many of us have to work every day....... the hard way with no government hand outs........

I find it laughable that with all the problems this country has before it that you take on the light bulbs and breast pumps... go to work Ms Backmann and do the job that is before you and stop looking for the lint in your naval.......

The government telling us what we can and can't buy...sound familiar? I believe that the last time that it happened to this extent, these words were written:

"When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people..."

When did it become OK for the government that was established to escape tyranny and oppression from another government to resort back to exactly what we escaped from in the first place? This is tyranny and oppression of a different sort.

Bachmann says the mandate should only stay in place is (1) there is proof that alternate bulbs save consumers money, (2) there is proof that alternate bulbs significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions and (3) that it's shown that alternate bulbs "would not lead to a health risk for consumers, particularly those in hospitals, schools, day care centers and nursing homes."

Even if provided what she seeks, she would dismiss it as "voodoo" science.

Liberals need daily spoonfeeding and scripted breathing instructions from the government to survive.
And they try to make fun of Michelle Bachmann for thinking on her own.
==========================================================
Bachmann is known for many things.
Thinking is not one of them.
Maybe you, Barbara, and Sarah could go on tour ... as the THREE B1TCHES ...
I can hear the argument now .... NO, I AM THE DUMBEREST .....

I'm stocking up on the incandescent bulbs. And when they run out, I guess it will be candlelight for me. When they can come out with something NON-TOXIC, I will buy them.

I did start to buy the CFLs, but when I found out you had to wear a hazmat suit to clean them up when they broke, that was the end of that. I did some research on them and found out they put off very dirty electricity and people were getting sick from them. You can't sit too close to them. That is the OPEN coil ones. Apparently the better ones are the closed ones. They look similar to the incandescent ones. BUT, they are still toxic.

Soooo, then I heard that the LED lights were good. I phoned and asked some idiot at Home Depot if they were toxic and he said "no" (which is the same thing they told me about the CFLs). But again, I did some research on them, and they are toxic. No mercury, but loaded with heavy metals. They too put off a gas and can cause liver and kidney damage. And you have to wear a hazmat suit to clean them up too. : ) Those bulbs ran anywhere from $35 to $50 (in Canada). They last around 22 years. I would have gladly spent that if only they were NON-TOXIC!

Of course in that bit of research I found that my LED TV is Toxic! What now?? Of course it doesn't give off radiation, so that's one good thing. : )

So is your LED flashlight and the headlights on your boss' BMW. So is sucking on an exhaust pipe. Jeez, find an issue.

You do realize that every flourecent bulb ever used has mercury in it right? I suppose you have no thermometers in your house either. EVERYTHING can be "toxic" if you misuse it. Where did you learn to be so paranoid?
