There is a war going on in this country and I am not referring to the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. I am referring to the war waged by the wealthiest people in America on the disappearing and shrinking middle class of our country.

The nation's billionaires are on the warpath. They want more, more, more. Their greed has no end and they are apparently unconcerned for the future of this country if it gets in the way of their accumulation of power and wealth.

There is no parity on this site and it's my assumption that CBS allows progressive ringers here. They make up about 23% of our electorate yet they're insulting damn near everyone posting 90% of the nonsense on this thread.

Now progressives, read this very slowly, closely and clearly. Progressive ideals, policies and its politics are finished, over and done. How was it we were told to deal with the dispirited McCain supporters after we elected Obama? Get over it? Well then get over it. Progressives won't see the inside of the Oval office as occupant in my lifetime and at the same time you have taken the Democratic Party down with you. Most centrist Democrats in the Senate and House have begun to realize unless they move away from you quickly they are on the end of a losing proposition. The indictors of this are all around us clearly after 20 months. Now, one can posit anything they wish as to this statement and progressives could and would continue this juvenile dialogue 24-7 at nauseam. In essence the only factual answers will be found for each of us after a mere ten minutes in that voting booth in 2012 just as we did in November 2010.

lagunagal, if there is one thing you can be assured of and mark these words down.

No party will hold the government for very long it changes hands all the time.

The Dems had it then the Reps then the Dems now it is both and I can assue you it will change again.

Read these words and understand history.

You are just plain lost in your own private illusions, complete with the hyperbole you need to feed them. Sad really.

Nothing else to say. You refuse to accept the FACTS, that fewer people voted in 2010 than in 2008 OR 2006. The economy has been a very decisive factor, not just political identity or extremes in political ideology.

I am registered NP in California. I have never been anything else.

As I said -- I vote in the same place as you and I have my ONE vote, you have your ONE vote.

Mine cancels yours, though the district may go your way -- but the STATE will not!

2012 will show the facts are on my side and the rest of us that think you are nothing but an ill informed individual with ... again! ONE VOTE, not the voice of the majority.

PS -- CBS lets anyone with a valid e-mail on this site for as long as they abide by the terms and conditions agreed to. They have no political bias in that.

One more thing, lagunagal. You write: "The indicators of this are all around us clearly after 20 months"

Are you living in the past, or just recycling old misinformation?

We have had the progressive who is now in the Oval office for just over 24 months. What happened in your own little world in May/June of 2009?

Oh?this is rich CBS. And why pray tell should we believe anything on these pages or in your broadcasts. You have rendered yourselves irrelevant. Were November's elections just an anomaly? H*ll NO! These folks were voted in by historical measures to repeal this beast and that is precisely what is going to happen. Keep stepping in it CBS as the majority has stopped blogging which became nothing short of hitting their collective heads against a wall. We, the majority are waiting for 2012 where the actual rubber will meet the road. Meanwhile the House's marching orders are to create gridlock, reduce spending and repeal Obamacare. I'm completely satisfied with just gridlock.

Sincerely, Tina Ferrer, one ex centrist Democrat

Ha!

Tina the ex-centrist Dem, really... who cares?

Your post reeks of the very irrelevance you decry. Speak for yourself, you are not the majority -- your one vote is the same as mine.

And I own a house up the hill from the cottage.

I am a Californian -- though I spend part of my time out of state -- please don't think California is represented by the Tina Ferrer's and their idiotic, hyperbolic rants.

You are correct, pahgre -- Prop 13 and the misguided "direct democracy" that brought it upon us, is far more to blame for CA's monetary problems than the classic political structure (elected officials doing the work of the people as representatives).

California bucked the GOP trend in 2010 and does not have a significant tea party contingent in our electorate.

We do, however have Orange County -- though the burb, "lagunagal" seems to call home is not a place where the famous conservative nature of the county is expressed. The "gooch" is a liberal/progressive oasis in a desert of religious and social conservatives with a few true fiscal conservatives of the old order GOP thrown in.

Beautiful places attract progressives. The truth.

Actually Roger Ailes said that they (him and Murdoch) dictate what they say and how they word it based on focus groups. Not exactly unbiased.

Just heard the stats on who was asked in this poll. Heavily squewed towards liberal and independents. Conservatives were only 22% of those asked. ANOTHER BS STORY FROM CBS. What this means is that CBS is the propaganda mouth piece for the whitehouse and tries to pass it off as news. ALL TOTAL BULL.

Polling companies have no control over how many of a given group will answer the phone and take the time to answer an opinion poll.

The above article does give data on the political affiliation of respondents and their percentages.

This isn't BS.

The only way you can call this BS is to call ALL opinion polls BS. I can agree with you on that.

But thinking the only fair and correct opinion polling is that which that agrees with your opinion -- is pure hypocrisy.

All or none.

Well of course, the Republican Corporation actually represents maybe 2% of America, the ones who can afford to hire corporate lobbyists. They are continuing the War on the Middle Class (and along with it democracy) that was started by Reagan and put on steroids by the Republicans and the Bushoccio Crime Family.

Why should The Other 98% keep paying for the taxes and health care of the Top 2%. I am sick of it.
