when democracy was created, antiquity and throughout history... philosophers agreed that reason was the most important key to creating a government that would work. for reason, education is required. i'm not saying that everyone needs to go to universities and study, what i am saying is that people need to be educated about their government, the people representing them, and how those before us contributed (if at all) to the growth and prosperity of this country. i'm sure palin is a nice lady, a good neighbor, and someone who truly cares about this country. she is not however a reasonable person to run this country and that is evident in her use of a phrase that is historically heavy. i'm embarassed, as a historian and a woman, for the image palin represents. this country deserves better. and if change is really going to occur, we need to remember change takes time and it takes the collective. we need to educate ourselves.

What we see now is the Forth KKK emerged called the TEA PARTY with President Palin in control. A little nicer to look at and a lot more refined. Who knows how far they will go with the support of the Fox Nooz propaganda machine.
If left unchecked history is full of examples of Right Wing ignorance and the disastors they plague humanity with. One comes to mind that some may still remember. Joseph Gobles, of the late 1920's to 1945,with his assoicates of propaganda of fear, hate and chaos, produced the atomsphere for the self destruction of Germany...
This lady is crazy! Who is she kidding? She is talking about talk radio and our freedom of expression, but that we should embrace peaceful, respectful debate. I've listened to the talk radio on both sides, and I hear virulent calls for violence on the right-wing AM channels much more than from the left. That's a fact! Even Sarah Palin herself called for uprising stating to reload rather than retreat in the face of defeat and frustration. Come on, who really thinks this woman is sincere?
First she engineers the Palin Massacre. Then she blames her minion who carried it out. And lies about what she said and did. What a loser piece of white trash. Of course we did have a bag of white trash as President for 8 years, just without the lipstick.
Reasons Palin did what she did and say what she said was to prove to her base that she is President of the Tea Party. Also, Tea Party has total disdain and no respect for anyone who sits in the office of President who isn't Palin herself. They identify with her and she realizes the craziness of her base in their thinking. She chose words to inflict disrespect for the office in her words "I know President obama will join ME..." instead of saying "I join President Obama..." Those latter words would have been much more powerful in positioning her in position of leadership but she chose the low road to poverty and disgust.
Palin scandalizes the press like she does her chosen opponents. She picks opponents. Opponents don't pick her. Giffords never targeted Palin. Palin targeted her.
