Obama's share is not 5T some of it was done under all the other presidents other than obama bushes and reagan. I think obama would like to be trimming it - he has deficit hawks as advisors, the meltdown under bush precludes it at this point until the GDP is growing again
That's right, blame Barry and his credit card for a $14 trillion debt, while Wall St has gambled $700 trillion. That's right, the free market playing with unregulated financial instruments has damaged us 50 times what our shopaholic government has. Way to sweat the small stuff!
Come on Dems tell me how great this is that Obama has increased the debt in 2 years by 5 trillion dollars and we ahve nothing to show for it in gains to jobs and increased income in taxes. We have less people working, less people contributing to the government coffers in taxes, and you spend money like it grew on trees!

You seem to overlook the big businesses who chose to close down factories, fire workers and send those jobs overseas. They got bailed out by Bush and Obama, reported record profits and now is just setting on the money or still creating jobs overseas. The loans to the banks by Bush and Obama were to help banks and get them lending again in America. You seem to place the blame on 1 person. It should be shared by Congress, republicans and democrats and big business .
And 12 Trillion of that total is attributable to the bushes and reagan who approved the budgets. zfacts.com has a good analysis. republicans are not fiscally conservative and are hypocrites.
Now that we have taken the gavel out of "Nasty Nan's" hand, we can get Reid and Obama to quit spending on "Clunkers", Healthcare-2600 page bill that NO ONE understands and has dozens of loop holes, bail outs, bribes and pay offs- maybe the new congress and newly elected common sense people will put the brakes on the spending and we can get back to a normal economy. Will hold them off until 2012 and get someone in there with some business experience plus military "know how" and get the USA back to normal!!!
These are false figures. To much in excluded. Our national debt plus our obligations exceeds GWP (Gross World Product). We owe more money that actually exists in the WORLD! There is no way that we can repay it, no matter what congress does. The Feds keep printing more money to catch up which drastically deflates the value of our dollar. They have printed more money than in the rest of our country's history since Prez antiChrist took office. Wake up America. Don't put your hope in government. Put it in God.
