was really looking forward to this show hoping it would improve Palin?s image and hoping to see some beautiful Alaskan scenery. I was only able to take 45 minutes, the scenery was beautiful but Palin?s constant comments repeating what we just saw and heard made me change channels after 45 minutes. Sarah remember ?silence is golden?

i hope when she's out on the lake she falls overboard her little boat one glorious day and:

1) gets a flesh eating virus
2) gets dragged onshore by a bear
3) gets caught in the propeller blades

So, I thought this was supposed to be a show about Alaska? Evidently, it's all about her, and she just happens to be IN Alaska. TLC, you've hit an all-time low.

Change the channel. It's that simple. The only one subjecting you to her voice is you. Don't ya love freedom!

Hit the mute button. Or in our case, hit the 'mudo' button. We can't get the instructions off Spanish mode! :)

CBS gives an inordinate amount of coverage to this freak who has zero chance of winning the presidency. How about some pieces on some of the real GOP contenders.

I suggest she and her hubby put on their big girl/boy panties and QUIT WHINING. I am sick of hearing her whine about everything that doesn't go her way. Get a frickin' grip, lady. It was you who QUIT your post in the middle of the stream. If you can't take the heat, then get the 7734 out of the spotlight. For cryin' out loud.

zeke - Well, she IS a private citizen now. How would you like it if a person rented your neighbor's house to write a book on you? I highly doubt you would be okay with it. And FYI, she quit the governor's job because of the millions of dollars she had to spend to defend herself because of frivolous lawsuits. It was costing her and the state so much money. Don't you think she owed it to the state to NOT rack up so much debt?

trueconserv I agree with you! I wouldn't be comfortable with a neighbor writing a book about me either especially if they were someone I didn't know! After all when the Palins are at home their children like to play outside and they probably like to put on their swimsuits in the summer and take a dip in the lake in the summer or sun bathe on their slab and they don't want a neighbor taking pictures of them!

Private citizen? What a crock.

How many private citizens have the brass balls to write an "Open Letter to Republican Freshmen Members of Congress" and to claim (dubious, at best, considering Palin's penchant for stretching the truth) "Some of you have asked for my thoughts on how best to proceed in the weeks and months ahead and how best to advance an agenda that can move our country forward".

How many private citizens have made it their life's work the past 2 years to stalk President Obama with as many slanderous claims as possible? Well, OK, a lot of her ilk...

As for people who know nothing about the Palins claiming that they "take a dip in the lake" -- that lake is toxic, thanks to policies Palin allowed during her term as mayor. There's toxic leaching from a nearby unregulated landfill that's in the groundwater that feeds the lake, and now nothing lives in that lake, not even plant life. I wouldn't want my kids in that water.

As for neighbors taking pictures of the Palins, between 2006 and 2008 the house next door had Oxford House residents living there - recently released drug and alcohol offenders seeking a return to society. I'd guess the chances someone has an album full of Palin pictures from 2006-2008 is a lot greater than the summer of 2010.
