Whats next foro Obama and Congress and the United States...no one will be united, except for their own so called "parties"..Well, I don't want to party with any of these groups. They are tearing my country apart with all their infighting. Our country is being bought by China and taken over by China. We owe trillions of dollars to China and in 25 years, China will take over America, physically, mentally and ecnomically. The Chinese love it when we fight amoung ourselves. They clap their hands in glee to see that they can slip in and take over our country will our politicans are too busy trying to out do each other. Obama has been asleep at the wheel. He said he would bring our troops home, etc. etc. He has done none of this. Now Bush's buddies are back in force in D.C. more's the pity for millions of Americans. More illegals will come into our country, more illegal drugs will come into our country. More jobs will be outsourced. I am glad we have our passports because I think we had better sell our personal goods and head out to Canada,,,if they will have us...see you at the border...don't forget to bring YOUR passport.

Well folks, here is what is really going to happen and it falls under the category of be careful what you wish for.

Now that there is a clear GOP majority in the House, and slim DEM majority in the Senate and a DEM President. The Speaker and the House GOP will attempt to repeal the HealthCare reforms of last year but will fail. Why? Because the Senate wont pass the repeal and even if they did, do you think the Whitehouse would not veto any of the bills Obama worked so hard to get? Like thats going to happen. During the lame duck session the Dem majority in both houses will extend the Bush tax cuts to all but the wealthiest and the GOP will be powerless to stop it. You believe the WH is going to compromise when the Speaker Elect has already stated he will not and intends to insure a one term presidency for Obama. Yeah you can count on a lot of cooperation there as well. And after two years of an immasculated GOP majority house unable to get anything done who do you think the Americans will vote for in 2012. Just a hint but it wont be the GOP.

I have mentioned this before but the GOPs best long term strategy would have been to not win the house and stiffle the Dem majority efforts thereby assuring a GOP WH in 2012. Not going to happen now my friends. Bitterness, haterd and mudslingling are no way to run a country and although tactically may work in the short term, spell disaster for long term goals.

Just think if parties were outlawed and our representatives were forced to represent their disticts instead of their repsective parties. Yeah I know, it won't happen - too much money and power at stake - but in the meantime the rest of us are getting screwed. And the parties, industry, media and pundits are all laughing at us while they cash their big checks. You are all sheep, you just follow different shephards. In the end you will still end up on some fat cat's dinner plate.

Because the staff at CBS are a far left liberal propaganda machine, not real journalists, they picked the most unflattering picture they could find to put on their web site of Boehner. That is typical of what the liberal media does. Spin, not objective journalism is their goal. If you react to him that way, now you have some idea of the disgust we feel when we see Obama or any of the clueless left leaning liberals in congress. Obama is by far the worst president we have ever had, and the thrashing that democrats just took at the polls is proof of how bad his policies are. The far left congress and the liberal media that rubber stamped his socialist agenda are every bit as bad as he is.

"Accoridng to the Congressional budget Office website, the Single Largest Contributor to our Deficit Right now is the 'Unpaid For' Massive Tax Cuts of 2001 and 2003"

Only progressives would blame the deficit on tax cuts. This is like me running up a million dollar credit card debt, and then blaming my boss for not giving hundred thousand dollar raise each year for the past three years. Stop spending money you don't have and promise to find it somewhere (out of the taxpayers pocket) later.

What's Next for Obama and Congress? A re-education of current congress mandated by a majority vote then on to the extension of the tax cuts, the unequivocal repeal of Obama?s healthcare, cap and tax, financial reform, salvaging whatever?s left in Obama?s piggy bank from the disastrous stimulus and moving forward with fiscal sanity which is why these folks were voted in. California is in deep weeds because Brown, Boxer, Feinstein and Pelosi were looking for a bail-out of their $500 billion unfunded union public sector salary and pension liability. Now the House will summarily tell California to go pound sand as well it should. California taxes are going to be painful on California business and citizens. You're on your own California and Nevada. Regardless people it's over and there?s no changing that. Pelosi?s out, Reid continues to be a eunuch without power and Franks is out as chair of the finance committee along with about four other progressive's out of their comfy committee chair positions. There will be no compromising or allowing Obama's obvious failed agenda to continue. You can attempt to change history by vigorously arguing the merits of this midterm but you and I know how that works out, it doesn?t. Finally America get's some relief until 2012 at which time my party better get its priorities in order or I'll vote a full Republican ticket again. This is where water?s wet and rocks are hard.

clemenhagen1 says:
Defense spending is at over 700 billion per year (counting the wars, which Obama made part of the budget). This total constitutes more than half of all military spending world-wide. We spend more than the entire rest of the world combined! Can we seriously address our deficits without addressing this area? All the earmarks in the world (approx. 20 billion per year) don't touch it. Neither does "slashing" spending if it does not address tax-cuts, defense, and health care cost (Medicare).

The Republicans have advocated "cut/go" - all new spending be balanced by cuts in other programs. Fine. However, they will not reinstitute "pay/go" which would entail cutting spending to offset tax-cuts. Extending the Bush tax-cuts will cost three to four trillion over the next decade. How do Republicans propose to offset this? With defense cuts? Medicare cuts? The fact they have no plan proves how cynical they really are when it comes to the facade of being deficit hawks.

Nice points Clem, but could you tell us what alternative would be provided by the Dems? I don't see them instituting pay/go or cut/go, but rather go/go and let future generations carry the load. Has Obama maintained GW's outrageous deficit, decreased it or increased it? America has once again chosen the lesser of the two evils, but at least this time the lesser evil knows they are on probation.

The Republicans have forgotten everything apparently. They can't seem to remember that Bush stood on the steps of the White House in Nov 2008 and told us we were not only in a recession but had been for a year. Nice it took him a year to make that announcement. Also the biggest job loss of 2.6 million in 2008 on the Bush watch. They forgot how they all voted to de-regulate the banks which made it easier for them and the stock market to collapse. They forgot the war they started on a lie knowing there were no weapons of mass destruction. The illegal wire taps, reading of private emails, etc, that went to the Supreme Court. The shoddy job that was done for our citizens after Katrina.

Every bit of this debt has been put on Obama's head when it belongs to Congress, the Senate, the Dems and the Republicans and all of those that jammed it full of unnecessary pet projects that increased the price of it. This mess did not come about due to one man and it should be shared by all.

Oh yes. I find it most fitting that every Democrat should loose their home because someone buys more than they can afford. Of course the Republicans should all be able to keep their home because they did such a swell job the 8 years before Obama that happened to get us into this mess to start with. Grow up and place the blame where it belongs.
