Someone out there, please, please tell me one thing Sarah Palin has done not only for Alaska, but for this country? What is wrong with you people, she left Alaska hanging, but you say she has more influence than a President! She walked off a job because things were not going her way, like a spoilt child! Is this WHOM you want to follow in the future??
Let me ask you a single accomplishment of Senator Barack Obama? Can you name one accomplishment of his as his before that in the Illinois state house? There are none. He voted present.
What did Palin do for Alaska? As governor she fought against earmarks and reduced those by 30 to 60%.
She sold assets of the previous democratic governor including a private jet and returned them to the people of Alaska. She slashed the budget for running the governors office.
She fought the corruption in her own party and saw to the breakup of the entrenched good old boy club.
She got Exxon to get off squatting on land leases and get on with oil production.
She introduced a plan and committment for Alaska to be powered by 50%
renewable energy by 2025 and led Alaska to it's current level of 25%.
What has she done for America? Even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. This will provided much energy independance that we need in the lower 48. You can thank Sara Palin for that.
The fact that Sarah Palin has any influence on any one person signifies a much larger problem. The freaky far right is spreading like poison ivy, and the more that racists and religious fundamentalists gain power, the worse the itchy, stinky, oozing rash becomes. Palin for President is like saying stupidity is smart.
I believe Ms. Coulter's point is that she has more influence than a President, therefore she ought to not to run, but continue to influence. Your point seems to be that one person being influenced by another is a significant problem and that the influence is manifested in racism and religious fundamentalism. You seem to be creating a fictitious narrative in order to influence others or you yourself have been influenced to believe this fiction. Unless you have hard data, you might do well to examine your premises or the ones that have been spoon fed to you by the thought masters.
Ya, let's give legitimacy to Ann Coulter... a bonafide right-wing nut case who says that 9/11 widows are "greedy". Of course an extremist like Coulter would support another extremist like Palin.. during the elections in the Fall she doesn't have to wear a t-shirt stating who she's going to vote for.. all Ann Coulter has to do is wear a t-shirt that says "I'M WITH STUPID"... !
Ann Coulter supported Secretary of State Clinton over Senator McCain! Ann Coulter actually helped President Obama win that election! She should be wearing a t-shirt, along with Dr. Dobson, that says, "I'm with stupid!..." Both of these two Conservatives were listened to by the Religious Right, who decided not to vote for Senator McCain, causing a 52%-47% win for President Obama.
...yesterday the U.S. walked out of the speech of the President of Iran for saying that the United States govenment was responsible for planning 911. Does anyone remember that Michael Moore stated the same thing in Farenheit 911, and Ex-Majority Leader Tom Daschle stood and applauded after watching this fiction? Now that President Obama is President the Left has a different opinion. ...but Michael Malone...oops...Michael Moore's pcs. of fictious Documentary still stands... "Look a famous Hollywood director! No, he just does documentories!"
mountainstates1, There is nothing extreme about Palin. Just because the corrupt MSM beats it into your brain over and over again doesn't make it so. Check the woman's 16 years as a public servant for yourself. Do your own research you sheep.
Ann Coulter just likes to hear herself talk. I dont think SHE even believes half of the things that come out of her mouth. Coulter and Palin= media hoowoores.
How about Ann Coulter saying that even Secretary of State Clinton would have been a better choice for President than Senator McCain? You could be correct...but one thing I am pretty sure of...the Secretary of State, (with an occasional help from her husband), would have been a better choice than President Obama for President.
The polls are not really indicating that the Democrats are in worse shape than in 1994. The United States is in worse shape than 1994, due to the fact that President Obama cannot relate at all with Republicans. He is too far Left, he is unable to negotiate with Republicans. Do other people besides me feel a certain arrogancy from President Obama, I mean worse than any President that I have ever known? President Clinton was able to realize that he needed to govern more as a Centrist and work with Republicans after the defeat in 1994. That's a huge difference.
The fact is that Sarah Palin resigned as Governor to get money for the 2012 Presidential Campaign. I think she would be an excellent choice as a Vice President candidate to someone like Governor Romney or even Congressman Ron Paul, (though he is too Libertarian for my taste). ...but who cares what I think? LOL!
The Republicans caused the greatest recession in US history. The fact that it is taking longer than a year to pull out of it is not the democrats fault. Go ahead. Re-elect the party that put us in this mess in the first place...that's smart! Just ask Sarah "the quitter" Palin! She knows how to get going when the going gets tough!
Nope you can't simply blame Republicans. Bill Clinton's trade policy with China created a bubble of perceived wealth, forced businesses competeing with Chinas slave labor market to close or move to Mexico or oversees. The subprime loan industry was created by lowering borrowing standards in order to put all Americans into homes they could not afford. These were liberal policies. The unbridled greed of wall street was a non partisan effort.
What a joke. Run Palin against Obama and see what happens. Dumb Republicans. Oh, and have Cheney for her running mate since he is the voice of America too, or should I say the voice of greed.
The fact is that there are many, many people out there saying that they would rather vote for Governor Palin over President Obama. ...but it would be better to have an experienced person at the top of the ticket rather than an inexperienced person...that was the problem with Freshman Senator Obama. You Democrats were nuts to choose President Obama over Secretary of State Clinton! Now that was a joke!
Then trot out John Kerry, the 8 Bell, Ca(democrat) officials, Blogovich, Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, William Jefferson, Charley Rangel, Barney Frank et al,ad nauseum-poster boys for Democrat greed.
The partisan blindness is stunning! You probably think the UN food for oil program was an act of compassion.
I live in California...I know what you are talking about with the "Ca(democrat) officials," and these Californians keep voting them in. It's unbelievable!
In Oregon, we keep voting them out but the day after the election, we find that our votes weren't counted but are found days later floating in the Columbia River headed out to sea. The Secretary of State job here is more powerful than any other. We make Chicago look like Sunday school.

I have a couple to add:
Newsweek and NYT are falling a part.
Vanity Fair is a rag being run by loons. Count down.
God has seen and heard enough!
One person is good and more powerful than ever.
