If Alan Simpson said this, he used the word teats. Mr Condon has apparently spent too much time on porn sites. The word is teat or the plural teats. You might be familiar with the Grand Teatons and will want to look at the etemology there. There are other common usages such as hind teat, getting one's teat caught in a wringer (somewhat arcane since we don't use wringers anymore, feel free to look that one up as well. Perhaps Mr Simpson is suggesting that we blacken the teat. This has nothing at all in any way, shape or form with people who identify themselves as 'black'. It is a reference to the process of weaning which is intimate to the teat and all that it stands for. Then there are the boars with teats, a rarity and metaphor of uniqueness.

'Alan Simpson: Social Security Is Like a "Milk Cow with 310 Million (teats)'

His problem could be that he and his kind can't find a way to make squillions of bucks from it!

The problem is not sexism but right wing ignorance. The meager social security that I collect is a small part of the amount I have paid in for about 45 years! The senator should know that this so-called "entitlement" was actually instituted as a type of insurance, with pay-ins required and far in excess of individual pay-outs. Indeed, because I continue to work half time at age 77, I continue to pay in to social security, as well as receive payments for all the decades already invested.

The article was about a comment from a top Obama Administration committee member and you're blathering away about 'right-wing ignorance'. Anyway, be grateful you're getting anything at all, your generation will be the last one with any chance to recoup anywhere near what they contributed. By the time most current taxpayers funding your benefits checks reach retirement age, the system will probably be bankrupt - along with the taxpayers themselves, who have to somehow save for their own retirement even as they're paying for yours.

First, it is not only retired (old) people "sucking" the money, it is now disabled and so-called disabled. The system was doomed from the beginning because of its ponzi sheme structure. The money was not invested but spent and now the cow is running dry.
