This story really angers me. Yes, the harassing little "journalists" that have reared their irritating little heads around America lately have to get on politician's nerves, BUT....
This is an elected official of the United States of America on tape ASSAULTING a young man. Question...why was he not arrested by the police!? If any of we did the same thing, we'd be in jail awaiting bail or a hearing. This guy says, "SORRY, (sniff sniff)" and we're all supposed to give him a pass.
I don't think so. If he'd put his hands on me, I would've dropped him in self defense. What a freaking loser.
What a big tough guy huh? Maybe I'll go ask him some questions. He touches me I'll lay his old ass out on the concrete so fast he'll he'll wonder if he was there all morning.
Generally, kidnapping occurs when a person, without lawful authority, physically transports (i.e., moves) another person without that other person's consent, with the intent to use the abduction in connection with some other nefarious objective. Under the Model Penal Code (a set of exemplary criminal rules fashioned by the American Law Institute), kidnapping occurs when any person is unlawfully and non-consensually asported and held for certain purposes. These purposes include ... terrorizing or inflicting bodily injury on the victim or a third person; and interfering with a governmental or political function (Model Penal Code ? 212.1).
So "mercury69" thinks that the assault of someone he deems to be a "punky twirp is OK. Why not just go ahead and put "punky twirps" into concentration camps Mr. Mercury69? We we no longer believe in the rule of law, if you can ignore the laws dealing with assault, then let's just move on to your brave new soviet/nazi world.
For months, Pelosi couldn't shut up about all the violence that the Tea Party and other opponents of Obamunism were fomenting with their uncivilized language. WHERE IS SHE NOW? And this is the second attack by a North Carolina "Progressive" in a week. (They take Obama's orders to heart down there in Carolina!!!) Rank hypocrisy . . . right out of the pages of Saul Alinsky.
The whole thing was badly done all the way around. The student/journalist should have introduced himself or had visible press credentials. The congressman should not have laid a finger on either the camera man or the student. I'm so tired of this garbage behavior.
Etheridge went off as soon as he was asked his feelings on the Obama agenda. He had gone crazy before he began demanding their names. Of course, it does appear that he was seriously impaired in some way. But it was the Obama questions that set him off.
Despite all of Nancy Pelosi's carrying on about the prospects of violence from those who oppose the unrestricted growth of government, it is clear from what's going on around the country that it's the "Progressives" who are quick to justify violence as their response to anything they don't like. Give this last week of political activity, it seems that North Carolina "Progressives" are particularly prone to choosing violence. The concept of freedom of speech only applies to speech they want to hear. WATCH OUT!!!

Good job Bob!
Not true. The video clearly shows the two men standing still, while the Congressman walks up to them. Get it correct, CBS News.
