We armed al quaeda in Afghanistan when they fought Russia, now we are fighting against the very weapons we supplied. Now our government is proposing to arm them in Libya in their fight against Gadhafi. If they win they will turn on us again, their religion calls for total conversion of the world and they get to heaven by dieing to achieve it. Are our politicians so dumb that we doomed to repeatedly repeat out mistakes? This was/is a civil war get out of it and stay out of it.
Arming the rebels will only prolong the civil war in Libya. The Unites States has no business interfering in the affairs of Libya. If the people of Libya wanted peace they would be having peaceful negations, but instead they want war. The Unites States should stay out of this conflict. On top of that the U.S. is bankrupt and cannot afford another war. The last thing the U.S. needs is another war monger President.
