So. In order for GW Bush to play Santa Claus for eight years, Obama is supposed to play Scrooge.

Got it.

McCullagh is right. We need to socialize, socialize, socialize. But we obviously can't have the current greedy, corrupt, bought and paid Congress to do it. We need a Congress of We the People to tax the rich, seize personal assets of the bank criminals and excess corporation profits. We need real change, radical change to the system.

RAISE THE INTEREST RATES. And do not give loans to people who have no credit.

Another rational, clearly-written column Declan. It makes you wonder if our elected officials really don't get it or, instead, they are just acting in the interests of short-term political expediency. I'm betting on the latter, given how they've been ignoring the eventual and seemingly inevitable implosion of Social Security.

Wow. I'm shocked that CBS News would allow such a story on the website, what with their constant cheerleading for what is going on.
