Republicans behaved like Democrats and so got punished for it. In exactly the same way, McCain believed his and the Democrats'' previous call for public financing of elections only to be stiffed by the rich guy Obama who laughed at the trap that had been laid, rejected public funding and outspent him something like 9 to 1. If Republicans learn that they better behave like Republicans, someday the country will reject Obama/Biden socialism that lets the hungry starve and charities go bankrupt unless the federal government deals with the matters. (Biden gave only $370 to charity each year for 10 years despite making around $300,000 a year. He is a skinflint of the first order with his own money.)

It won%u2019t be long before Obama%u2019s goons will show up to demand higher taxes on hard working real Americans and small businesses.
Now, the election unleashed Obama as a liberal serpent spewing Marxist venom that will destroy this great country.
I%u2019ve had very nice and pleasant dreams since Palin was put on the ticket, but that turned into a nightmare last night with Obama raping me and pillaging this country.
May God bless America.

The Great Emperor Bush II has been scheming for the past several weeks, how he can "stick it to" everyone in the country as a "parting shot" when he leaves the "throne" in the Oval Office.

Among the items on his agenda which he has planned to shove at us before he leaves office are:

1. Run to Congress with the "Head of the Fed" and his "Head of The Tres" and frantically demand an additional $750 billion for an "additional" bailout (of Wal-Mart, Exxon/Mobil, Boeing, etc.). Not one dime will go to the average "Joe, the Plumber"!!!
2. Begin wars with Syria, Iran and Pakistan confusing Obama as to which to end first and get the Islamic world REALLY MAD AT US!!!
3. Rename "No Child Left Behind" to "ALL KIDS LEFT BEHIND"!!
4. Demand that ALL manufacturing companies relocate off-shore to "improve their profit margins" by using off-shore slave labor!
5. Sell-off all bridges, roads, and park lands to private foreign companies, handing over the cash paid to the Republican National Committee!
6. Do away with regs concerning greenhouse gases and dirty, stinking air so we all get to breathe the same garbage!
7. Pardon everyone in his administration of ANYTHING they may have done from the beginning of time to the end of the universe!!!

SIG HEIL, I CHEAT ''EM AND HOW!!"!!!, BUSH!!!
sig heil, I HOPE SOMEONE IN THE SENATE KEPT MY SEAT WARM!!!, McBush!!!
sig heil, NOW THAT I AM INNOCENT OF EVERYTHING, I CAN GO BACK TO WALUSIA!!!, Palin!!!

if gouge bushit and co. would have been able to privatize social security, you would have seen not only your 401 accout raped, but all of social security raped as well. as for the bailouts? first the bush team changed bankruptcy laws, then they lowered interest rates, then they gave a bogus mortgage to anyone with a pulse,{does anyone remember the little AWOL sissy, standing on his bully pulpit and saying" homeownership in america has never been greater"?}then they deregulated lending accountability, then the bailed out all their friends at wall street. what else can they steal before jan.20th?

[President Bush can claim some successes ... He was on the right track with private accounts for Social Security and health savings too. ]

he might have been on the right track ... but the train was going in the wrong direction.

Basically, I agree with the sentiments that this writer has expressed. The only caveat, however, is that Ms. Pelosi and company have done absolutely NOTHING for the past 2+ years.

Stunning results? Huh? Obama had a solid, yet unimpressive victory. Not something of the order of a 49 state blow-out like Reagan did in 1984. Also fell short of their 60 seat goal in the senate. I''d be a bit cautious if I where a Democrat and consider how narrow the margin of victory was, especially considering the bad economy should have helped the Democrats.

maybe joe the plumber can give a job to mccain?oh thats right,he''d rather quit and go on welfare than pay the tax''s that are commensurate with people who make more than $250000.00 per year.

Joe Biden is right - (insert name) will be tested, and the entire (insert party name)-controlled Congress will be tested - and they will not have the luxury of blaming anyone else for their own failures.

A commie hunter eh? There''s a 50''s ward being set up for you folks! Don''t you ever change with the times? I''ve watched the repubs closely for over 8 yrs and they fit the same mold. Time to be independent; perhaps you could start a combo "Chicken Little & Commie hunter" fan club.

The Republicans had their chance for most of Bush''s two terms, especially in 2004, when they took full control of Congress and of course had the executive branch as well. But Bush immediately declared, "This election gave me political capital and I''m going to spend it." What he did was quickly wasted it. Plus many of the elected Republicans did a Tom Delay and put signs outside their offices that effectively read "Highest Bidders Only May Enter." Plus it became more clear the war was unnecessary and idealogically driven. And on top of that, the oil companies, Wall Street firms, health insurance industry, et. al, had the Bush administration in their back pockets and began to cash in at the consumers expense. What a wasted opportunity by the Republicans. Wouldn''t you agree, Rush Limbaugh?

I am no fan of Bush (can''''t stand him) or the Republicans in general, but this author seems to forget that most of the Democrats in Congress voted to give Bush authorization to go to war. And the majority of Democrats (including Obama, who expressed his support), voted for the bailout bill.

Amazing what happens when you''re lied to! Read some books (many out there, like "Fiasco") and find out just what happened behind closed doors. Even tho I HATE the bailout it was necessary to keep us from a depression. Lesser of two evils! Now we need to monitor much more closely the goings on in CONgress. If the demos f*k up again we start bouncing them out in 2 yrs. We need to send strong signals to all pols "We are watching this time"!

Bush "was on the right track with private accounts for Social Security"? Are you nuts? Anyone is free to invest (and lose) money in the stock market, but social security is designed to provide security, not risk. Privatizing social security ranks as one of Bush''s worst ideas.
