what kind of strange surrender-monkey are you? WWI and WWII STARTED BY Democrats? Are you some kind of blame-America-first idiot? No wonder you Republicans just got thrown out of office (and over the cliff and under the bus).

I am tired of the often-repeated lie that Republicans love wars. World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War and the Vietnam War all began under Democrat administrations. Iraq and Afghanistan happened under Republicans, but there are very few Democrats that would not have gone into Afghanistan. So I tally it at five, one and one even.

Right on, Ms. Reid, Ms. Dodd and Mr. Pelosi did absolutely nothing during this financial collapse knowing full well what they were doing. They let millions of us lose millions of dollars for their political gain. Ms. Frank also just sat around taking it in his pork barrel watching it all unfold. Way to go do nothing dems with your empty suit of a leader.

Basically, I agree with the sentiments that this writer has expressed. The only caveat, however, is that Ms. Pelosi and company have done absolutely NOTHING for the past 2+ years.

I supported Barack Obama from the moment he announced, but I am certainly not a fan of Reid and Pelosi. I think we can do better than those two in leadership positions, Democrats or Republicans.

Amen. I was a Republican for 27 years until the party morphed into something that I didn''t even recognize. They are a pitiful bunch, with no ideas, no grand schemes, no center, and, no direction. Their only agenda is to force women back to the back alleys and to discriminat against and attack g a y families. That''s it. Nothing else. So the only ones who will stay on board with them are folks that enjoy attacking and could care less about anything else.

Maybe in the future they can regroup and come up with some progressive and intellegent ideas about how to run a country, but in the mean time, we will just have to hope that the Democrats accept their victories with humility and gratitude to the millions of Americans that supported them and not let arrogance precipitate their downfall as it has done in the past, and currently has done to the Republicans.

I switched from Democrat to Republican many years ago. I voted for Reagan and hadn''t changed until this year. I used to love the values the party represented. But this year I took a long look at my views. I have endorsed several presidents based on their abortion stance. I realized however that not one abortion has been stopped in my lifetime because a Republican was in office. While I am very much against abortion, selecting a president based on this belief unfortunately isn''t saving lives. There have been however over 4000 troops killed in a senseless war. Many people have been maimed as well. Where is the cry for them? I think that the Republican party can take a page from the textbook of the Democrats. Make Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh and all of the other yesteryear Republicans sit down and shut up like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton did. Find someone with a fresh approach with new ideas to lead the party. Then I will vote Republican again.

I wrote the above column and thought I''d respond.

Some folks have blamed the bailout on the Democrats. The reality is that the bailout was the Bush administration''s idea, and the president personally lobbied for it, along with key Democratic leaders.

The enthusiasm for it in the House was mostly bipartisan. Democrats overwhelmingly supported it; House Republicans were split roughly down the middle (91 to 108):

If more Republicans had opposed the bailout, they had enough votes to kill it.

Never mind shedding any tears for GOP. Some of them, especially at the highest level, need to be brought before the courts for misleading the american people, falsifying intelligence, and conducting an illegal war that killed at least half a million innocent Iraqis. None of those who died will ever be able to shed any tears.

Now that there is a president that the liberal media loves what are they going to do now? Who shall they blame for the trillion dollar tax and spend package and tax increases that the democrats have already dreamed up? Who shall pay for that? The biggest dissapointment for me was Barney Frank of Mass. getting re-elected. He and Chris Dodd, both democrats, were in high positions organizing the destruction of the economy via the mortgage meltdown. Then Frank has the gaul to call himself a hero. I guess driving isn''''t the only thing they do bad in that state. Additionally, we could not have gone to war in Iraq without the democrats approval. Then all they did was whine that they were duped. How easily poeple forget. If Connecticut re-elects Dodd in 2 years I will be wanting to move.

Didn''t you losers try to sell this Lie during the election? Didn''t fly then either did it!? LOL You know when you look at the condition of your party, I''d think you should be trying to find a different line.. The Party of De-Regulation, de-regulated us into a Mess the likes of which we haven''t seen in a LONG time.

I see the Dow is down 486 pts. today. I guess the economy''''s initial reaction to Obama is somewhat less euphoric than of those that voted for him. The "shape of things to come"? I can''''t wait!!!

So in your poor very small uneducated mind the market falling today was a reaction to Obama''s election? ROFLMAO So are we also to blame the RECORD Setting drops in the last few weeks on him as well? ROFLMAO Let me guess, YOU still think Bush''s failure and the fact that he and his party took us from a Balanced Budget and Surplus to RECORD DEBT is because of Clinton? ROFLMAO. You do know there are NIGHT classes you can go to... they can help you... honest!! ROFLMAO

This guy must be a long time Rep sheeple to quote Reagan as if he wasn''t asleep at the wheel most of the time.

Politics is ugly, plain and simple. Rep''s hold wars and profiteer from them and Dems build giant cash cow programs and then they each sneer at one another claiming the holy ground.

Reps and Dems both rob from the poor and accept bribes from the rich.

Government for sale has been the standard for this country ever since they shot JFK for not going along with the military industrial takeover of our country.

And both parties keep us fighting each other to distract us from their garage sale legislation in favor of the rich interests that really control our country:

The bankers who own the most traitorous organization in our country called, The Federal Reserve, whom our leaders feed outrageous sums of money by simply never spending within the limit of our income.

The military industrial complex, who need a constant influx of cash to stay profitable, including periodic wars to sustain themselves.

The oil industry without a patriotic bone of any kind.

The Insurance industry who profit from the misery of the citizens.

These are the great evils of our times ...

and they buy whomever we elect.
