AaaBee - You are right over turning it will not stop them, and I am not for over turning it. But I am for making sure we have controls over it. Some don''t believe in giving medical care to a baby that was born alive when a abortion went wrong they call them non viable baby. To me that is a human and should not be put in a broom closet to died. THen you have those who don''t think a minor should have to tell their parents they are getting a abortion. These ideals I can not believe and don''t know how anyone could think this is right or humane. As for the 6 million killed during Bush''s time, true but less than I though. Wonder how those who thinks any thing call abortion would feel if it was them getting treated this way. I am not against abortion if it is done correctly, giving the women complete information on what they are doing, informing the parents of underage children, informing the father, I know it is a womens body but sorry it is also part of the father they are killing.

How many babies died on the pro-lifer Bush''s watch?

Over 6 million babies were aborted during the 2 term reign of a newly-converted Christian pro-life president who had, for 6 years, a Republican majority Congress and for 2 years a conservative majority on the Supreme Court Bench.

Abortion is used as a campaign tool hot button for the Republicans up for election.

And for those anti-abortionists, overturning Roe V Wade won''t stop abortions. Women will still have abortions for a hundred reasons, and will have to obtain them in back rooms and dirty kitchens, done by bad doctors or by people with no medical training.

Anti-abortion is a religious-political tool that conveniently glosses over the hard reality of women''s lives.

In supporting CHOICE, women are not saying they support abortion. We simply do not want government to make decisions for us which we should be making with our co-creators (the man involved) and our Creator, God.

I support the right to choose and I say "choose life". God rules me, not the United or any one of the States government.

I''m not hiding behind anything let alone the word CHOICE. If I were to find myself unhappily pregnant, Abortion would NOT be an option for ME. That does not mean that I would impose MY CHOICE on any other woman. The physical, emotional, and spiritual implications of pregnancy are altogether PERSONAL. Any individual male or female who would presume to make that decision for another is arrogant and narcissistic. Your belief system, Christian, Islam, Mormon etc... does NOT make you an expert on another''s morality. If you are hell bent on forcing women to cave to your will, then you should be prepared to foot the bill for counseling, spiritual counseling, healthcare costs, etc.. for every woman who is FORCED to submit to your belief as well as every child''s living expenses until they are 21.

Gallup Daily election tracking reports the percentage of %u201Clikely voters%u201D who say they would support each candidate when that group is defined solely on the basis of respondents%u2019 self-professed likelihood to vote in the 2008 presidential election. This expanded group includes about two-thirds of the general public, a significantly higher proportion than has turned out in any recent election.

I feel sorry for many of you women. You are hung up on this word "Choice." Well, for your information, SCIENCE has proven that human life begins at conception. And the barbaric practice of late term abortion where the child is delivered, a scissor jabbed into its brain and sucked out - IS MURDER. You can hide behind CHOICE until death. But if you had any common sense you would spend time LOOKING UP FACTS instead of wasting your time sprewing ignorant comments! Ultimately, you will have to defend your ideals with your maker. God Wins in the end.

NewLector- Californias budget problem is a Caifornia problem not a US problem. You can make more money get some education and find a better one that is the cure for what you are talking about here. Money going to Isreal is very cheap compared to what we would have to spend if they were to fall as a country. Yes people need to pay the banks if they can''t then they need to lose their house. You do not have a right to own a house you have a opportinitue if you make enough money.

I think this debate was good in the way that, Mr. McCain, had the guts to see Mr. Obama in the face. But I think it was so stupid to mention to many time Joe, Joe, Joe, and Joe.

The fact is that everything is more expensive no than 8 years ago, this is normal since this is a free market and you can make as much money as you can, but why our salaries are old salaries from 8 years ago. I guess if we have a better salary, we can buy or pay the over price goods and utilities that we need on our daily basis.

The truth is that we need to make more money to pay our debts. The banks don''t need money from the government, they need us to pay them what we own them, but if we don''t make enough money how can we pay? The government can give 100 trillion to wall street and the banks, but we still gonna own them their money, they are not going to forgive our debts.

Lets not send the billion we send to Israel for 5 years. And all the money we are spending in Iraq.
and we gonna see some good savings.
California has a deficit in the budget, lets keep that money here, we don''t receive anything in return, lets each country pay for their own expenses...when I have pay my car or may house, I don''t receive any money from Israel, Iraq or any other nation, nobody asked me if the money the I pay on taxes can be use this way or the other. If we respect other countries policies and we negotiate with them we''ll have more peace and less wars.

Commentator did great job, good variety of questions. I have 2 questions, maybe someone can answer for me. Obama states in his book he went to Occidental College and blew it using drugs, not applying himself to studies, etc. He then took a trip sround the world to Indonesia and Parkistan and other Arab countries visiting his mother & families of his roommates. On return he went to Columbia University in NYC.Q#1. How did he qualify to get into Columbia after blowing grades etc. at Occidental, and where in tarnation did he get the money to attend Columbia (a very expensive liberal school)? Question 2. after finishing up at Columbia why did he move to Chicago and hook up w/Rezko (a man who rec''d $3.1Mil) from Pakistan right before the purchase of Obama''s current residence?

Watching the debate, I wondered WHAT IN THE WORLD McCain was doing pandering to his base, the Palin-loving right wing conservatives-- the only people that still like the ticket-- instead of to the independents and undecided voters, most of whom do not appreciate such extreme stances and such belittling and angry mockery. I think either he has seriously lost his mind, or he has conceeded defeat and was waving his white flag of surrender, saying "I know I lost this election already, so I''m going to start proving my case as to why I SHOULD have won with the only people who still like me and my wacko running mate -- the O''Reilly / Pat Roberston crowd."

Boo hiss McCain, you''re a sore (not to mention bitter, angry, and going senile??) loser! This woman does NOT appreciate your belittling. Go home to Arizona where you belong and leave the rest of the nation out of your and Palin''s fascist beliefs.

PS Right after your cookoo comments about abortion, I donated money to Obama''s campaign so that they can keep fighting to uphold a woman''s Federal right to privacy and choice... all the way to the White House baybeeeeee. And I hope all the conservative super pro-lifers on here constantly saying they will move to another country if Obama is elected really DO. Buh bye!! Have a nice long trip!!!

I agree with you PHDIVA re: McCain''s abortion comments. McCain is sexist. His choice of Palin was a sexist pandering to the right wing conservative women out there. (They can have her!!!) His sheltering her from the media was sexist. His comments against American womens'' right to privacy and choice were sexist. Not to mention cheating on and dumping his crippled wife and mother of his children for his trophy heiress mistress Cindy McCain.

And in the education portion (where I thought Obama rocked the house-- just like in the abortion debate portion), he said "your wife" in reference to Michelle Obama, yet said "Cindy McCain" when referring to his own wife. He is sexist, arrogant, condescending, and dismissive. The good thing is, I know he lost a lot of female votes (a demographic he was trying to wrestle back from Obama''s grasp) with his belittling of our reproductive, physical and mental health.
