it was a stale debate. barry obama is an empty suit, all he can do is lie. It is going to take a lot of people working together to fix our economy. not one liar in a suit.

If you''ve been happy with the way the country has been run by Ray-gun, Bush I, and Bush II by all means vote fro Mc.Cain. Just remember these guys gave you Iran-Contra, Iraq I and II, arms to bin Ladin and Saddam, trickle-down economics and deficits, deficits, deficits.

Hey, AJ -

I just had a disturbingly anti-American exchange with GetRealTex / Rowdy Wicca in another room and want to share.

Look for my next post.

I have always thought you''ve been fair and extremely intelligent when posting, and know that you may see her while I am gone. I hope you don''t mind my sharing this.

Having said that, Obama came off like the statesman he should become, Mc.Cain just provided negativity more and more desperately as the evening dragged on.

I am still waiting for one of the men to make me "want" to vote for them, as of now, it hasn''t happened.

I still have a month to look at them.

Whoever picked the questions (Brokaw?) essentially copied ones already asked and answered in the first debate.

The audience questions sucked.

Now obviously this is not necessarily the fault of those people in the audience who asked the questions. The fault lies with whoever it was who chose these audience members and these specific questions. With over 80 people in the audience, and almost unlimited internet questions to chose from, how on earth do they end up with (with possibly one exception) the exact same questions that we heard in the first debate and will likely hear in the last debate? I''ll tell you how. They make a conscious decision "not" to give the candidates anything unexpected or anything unconventional. Instead they make the conscious decision to ask the candidates questions about the same talking points rhetoric that they have given us 100 times.

I agree with what you say about the debate. Whoever picked the questions (Brokaw?) essentially copied ones already asked and answered in the first debate. Brokaw also butted in with his own chat WAY too much. Having said that, Obama came off like the statesman he should become, Mc.Cain just provided negativity more and more desperately as the evening dragged on.

How is it a stalemate if there is a link in the article showing that Obama won the debate according to uncommitted voters? What a joke.

Now THAT sounds like a wonderful source of meaningful information. How is it that GOPigs are so stupid that they seem to believe this cr@p? I guess it all goes back to being the death throes of a Mc.Failin'' campaign.

Look folks, these town hall forums are supposed to allow for an interaction of the candidates and the audience on a more personal and less structured environment. But probably the MOST important aspect of these forums is that the audience questions typically are different than the questions that these candidates will recieve from the usual moderators. These forums give rise to questions that dig into who the candidates really are, rather than just allow them to rattle off their rhetoric. When you take away the spontaneous reaction of the candidate to questions that they were not or could not possibly be prepared for, then you simply have another debate where the only real difference is who asks the questions. In this case the entire point of the town hall debate was tossed aside by those running the thing. It was a joke, and it became a complete waste of time... setting us up for what will possibly be the "least" anticipated third debate in history.

Gawd the ACORNazis are everywhere now that Bill Ayers didn''t work. All right already, Chicago Day, we read your first 1200 posts and are not impressed. Find something real or find something better to do with your time than repeating yourself.

McCain keeps talking about the Petraeus strategy in Iraq being transplanted to Afghanistan. It sounds like the General, speaking at the Heritage Foundation, is more aligned with Obama''s thinking. Everyone has to remember that McCain was a Navy guy-they''re terrifc but they always make a mess of developing strategies for land warfare. Pilots are not global thinkers.

Meanwhile, back at the Palin secessionist ranch....

Volger said, %u201CI am an Alaskan. They know it. I%u2019ve told them to go to hell in every way I can in a nice way. I took a case to the Supreme Court believing in the Supreme Court, but I%u2019d rather be tried in a ********** with the madam as the Judge. There is more Justice in a ********** than in the Supreme Court. And if they don%u2019t like they know where they can go; %u2026 and if you think I am ever going to forget that, the fires of Hell are glaciers compared to my hate for the American government, and I won%u2019t be buried under their d@mn flag.%u201D

AYERS WAS 35 YEARS AGO, AND AN ASSOCIATION.

PALIN IS NOW, AND IS A CANDIDATE.

The Alaskan Independence Party can be summed up in just two words:

ALASKA FIRST!

Until we as Alaskans receive our Ultimate Goal, the AIP will continue to strive to make Alaska a better place to live with less government interference in our everyday lives.

The Alaskan Independence Party%u2019s goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:

1. Remain a Territory.
2. Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3. Accept Commonwealth status.
4. Become a State.

According to the AIP%u2019s Web site, the founder of the party Joe Volger said, %u201CI%u2019m an Alaskan, not an American. I%u2019ve got no use for America or her d@mned institutions%u201D and %u201CThe problem with you John Birchers%u2019 is that you are too d@mn liberal.%u201D

The John Birch Society is a right-wing group that has opposed the Civil Rights Act, the United Nations, and evolution, and describes itself on its own Web site as %u201Cultraconservative.%u201D

Plain and simple,
If you will still be able to afford to support yourself after the business you work for folds under,
If you have all the insurance you need for you and your loved ones,
If your home is paid for and is still worth what you paid for it,
If you are secure with the future as far as your retirement,
If you are not concerned with the amount of taxes you pay,
If your credit rating is over 750,
and If you do not care at all about those who are less fortunate than you,
If you feel comfortable about "Bomb Bomb Bomb IRAN",
If you look forward to a Nuclear war with KOREA,
Then you might be able to afford to vote REPUBLICAN.
Here is your sign

Stalemate huh? No, this was a comment on the complete failure of the Government of Pigs (GOP), the party of war and death and spending. It was not just a failure of the crazy old war-monger coot and his sidekick Bushoccio with lipstick.
