yeah, I understand...but, just keep in mind that a lot of us "old guys" beleive in HONOR and demonstrated capability...not just the promise of such...

Answer me this, though. Even though our current leaders have experience...they still got us into this mess.

I''m almost willing to give the new guy a try...just because I think the people with the experience and power are the ones who can''t get away from the status quo. And the status quo is what''s killed our country and how the rest of the world thinks about us.

I watched the debate...and I got so tired of McCain dropping the "precondition" word every time someone asked him about meeting with Iran. I''m tired of watching our leaders act like we''re so much better than everyone else. The fact that we might be in a position to be humble, and perhaps talk to the rest of the world, is actually appealing.

It''s sad to witness the hatred on this board. Aren''t we all Americans, first? Why do we have to resort to this level of intolerance because we have different opinions? This is why our country is suffering, we don''t tolerate any one who is different or has another opinion. Unbelievable, and sad...

I understand that and totally respect honor and demonstrated capability. I actually considered voting for McCain until Palin came around...I have NO respect for her and see his choice as pandering to women.

When I saw her record with women, I realized I really didn''t know what McCain stood for. When I found out, I was appalled.

I can tell you that I was laid off from my high-paying job in May, and couldn''t even afford the COBRA I was offered through my employer. My insurance company paid only a few dollars on my prescription birth control and I never knew why.

I can appreciate McCain''s service to our country, and I support our military. But I do believe in reasonable regulation, and I feel that this whole economic mess has been caused by elitist politicians and others acting WITHOUT honor. And the thought of socialized medicine scares the heck out of me, but I believe that families simply can''t afford healthcare anymore without their employer covering a good chunk of it. For my coverage alone, which was not good coverage, they wanted me to pay $400 a month. A friend with kids was required to pay $1600 a month.

I liked what Obama said about it needing to be a "healthcare" system, not a "disease care" system. Our systems are broken.

aggiekat2004....boy you''''''''ve really got it bad don''''''''t you...you''''''''ve lost respect for your father because of what he said about OBAMA!!!! You don''''''''t look up to him anymore??!! I''''''''ll bet he must be really be disappointed in you you!!!

No, I''''ve lost respect for him because he''''s being hateful and intolerant, and spreading inaccurate information to others...picking fights with my fiancee and myself over things that just really don''''t matter.

I''''m afraid he''''s going to have a stroke if Obama is elected. It''''s gotten out of hand.

And I''''m tired of my inbox being filled with hate propaganda from the likes of Rush Limbaugh and other instigators that he''''s passing along.

Yeah, and Bush is a Harvard MBA, and went to Yale. Last I checked, in an MBA program you had to learn to give effective presentations to others.

At least in my program we did.

Oh, and the funny part about my dad?

HE WAS UPSET THAT I DIDN''T GIVE A *** ABOUT POLITICS.

Now I do, I''m finding out what the truth really is, and I''m making my own decisions.

And I''m finding out people like McPain has been voting against requiring insurance companies to cover women''s prescription contraceptives (they don''t, although they cover Viagra for these old men who just can''t get it up); he''s been voting against providing women''s healthcare to low-income women; voting against the Violence Against Women Act; and voting against funding medically-accurate and scientifically-based sexx education for our teens?

Oh, and don''t even get me started on the woman-hating Caribou Barbie WITCH.

Thanks, dad, for encouraging me to do my own research. I learned a lot.

Funny thing... I didn''t see any teleprompters when Obama pasted McCain in the debate.

Or when Palin "spoke in tongues" with Katie Couric.

Unfortunately for the Republicans, speechwriters don''t run the country. It takes people with intelligence and substance. But, I''m no longer concerned at all...

Obama is the most left wing radical terrorist sympathizer who is pro-muslim and anti-%u2026.
Jaxter, I think that you have been spending too much time listening to ****** Limburger or sniffing glue with your trailer trash buddies.

katia, please provide your sources from the Obama team that says he uses a teleprompter. Because, as I said, I''ve seen him twice (have you?) and there wasn''t one, he''s just smart, and I''m sorry you don''t like that. So tell me where I can read that, otherwise I''m going to have to say what you do and call you a liar (most likely you are just drinking the limbaugh kool-aid and just to lazy to verify facts for yourself).

My anti-Obama father just sent me an e-mail with a bunch of quotes that Obama supposedly said...

From Dreams of My Father: ''I ceased to advertise my mother''s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.''

Funny thing...if you go to snopes.com, you''ll get an explanation of how EVERY ONE OF THESE QUOTES was taken out of context and manipulated by Republicons to make Obama out to be anti-white and racist.

Go to snopes.com and search "Obama quotes" and you''ll find this e-mail and also the explanations.

I''m so tired of the Republicans distorting the truth and forwarding this c_rap to everyone. I''m tired of the hatred and intolerance.

I''ve lost a lot of respect for my father after this election. He''s an educated man that I used to look up to...I''m now seeing him as a man of intolerance, hatred, and ignorance.

"He CAUSED a fight with the bailout talks, after the Dems handed control over to him. Street thug. (to anyone who cares, this is hidden racist language.) Tells people to..."get in people''''''''s faces"....typical RADICAL behaviour. (yep, they''''re all like that. LOL!)"

Thanks for re-posting what I said. YOUR comments are irrelevant. Because you are LYING. And by the way, a STREET THUG can be ANYONE. Nothing racist whatsoever about the terminology.

It has been freely admitted by the Obama team, that he uses a teleprompter almost all of the time.

Polished and intelligent?? You''re funny.
