...and just where will I get the health insurance of my choice. Would I buy a private plan that costs more than $2500? So my taxable income goes up and I get to pay more for insurance that most likely won''t cover me for preexisting illness. Wow, I am lucky to be an American! Hey can anybody tell me an easy way to immigrate to Canada?

I would also point out that the idiot''''s "tax credit" isn''''t indexed to inflation and every year the difference between his tax credit and the cost of a policy would grow with the worker shouldering the full responsibility.

Since the article does not actually address this... AND the legislation implementing this has not been drafted.... much less introduced in congress, would you care to share how you know this?

rookieat65 I will assume that you don''t quite understand business. If you don''t have to pay taxes on your medical through the company the company doesn''t pay anything either for the tax on it. And what he is saying on this give you back a tax break is that some people do not want insurance through their company, example me, I work for the goverment and but insurance on myself, my wife works and they give her insurance she does not need it and never uses it. It would be nice to get a tax break on this so we are not wasting that benefit. I think people should be looking at things and not taking what the news gives you as the truth. Some things they say about Obama is inflated and some or de-flated or just flat wrong same goes for McCain. Both have their good and bad points. I will vote for McCain but only have a couple of problems with Obama and if he gets in I won''t be upset cause I think he will do a OK job on most things. I know he will not increas taxes and that was my biggest problem. He won''t increase them due the the finalical situation right now if he did the market would really crash and he knows that and has said that he would have to put it off for a while so I figure that in 4 years he will be out and someone new will be in. He will be a one term very similar to Jimmy Carter who I like on most things.

nit-pic nit-pic...
Mrs. Palin says 20% gas and oil.
you say 14.3% oil, 2.6% gas= 16.9% gas and oil..
you polls often have more margin of error than that!!!!

And it went till June and the end of the fiscal year.

Tax it and then give it back to us as a tax credit so that we can use it pay for health insurance which will cost far more more than the tax credit, or be impossible to get for many? I don''t get it. I guess McCain just wants to help out the corporations so they won''t worry about paying medical insurance any more.

I am unsure about both parties however I can give some real facts. I grew up very poor, sometimes we did not have any food and went hungry for a few days.
No poor man ever gave me a job. I only got jobs from the wealthy thus do not over tax them. I may need them to give me a job again.

However McCain also proposes to give the money back as a tax credit, $2,500 for individuals, $5,000 for families.

Let''s see, currently for coverage just for myself, my employer pays 4k and I pay an additional 1k out of pocket. That means I get taxed on an additional 4k of "income" or I take his crappy tax credit. I can''t believe you McCain voters are stupid enough to fall for this.

Reality check- your numbers do nt match those I ahve found on several other websites where the numbers have been crunched. Here is a real balst for you. My income would be raised by almost $12,000. per year,
raising my taxes at $500.00 increments. In addition, I would get no credit because I accept insurance in
instead of cash. So, I get hit, and hard. I still get more money under Obama. Thanks, ya can put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig.
