What a crock of BS, a lawnmower is used maybe once a WEEK, My Snapper self propelled 5 hp mows 1/2 acre with one fill, a gallon can fills it more than twice. You wanna reduce consumption and pollution? DONT HAVE 4 KIDS!!!!!!!
Every kid not born is one lawnmower, car, house, septic system, water, utility connections, food, garbage disposal and much more NOT being created/used at all, would certianly do a hel1 of a lot more for the environment and us than a stupid change on lawn mowers!

WHAT?! The EPA is cracking down on lawnmowers!?
They should have ''bigger fish to fry'' than THAT!
IF they don''t, they need NEW administrators! This is just ridiculous!

Also, I challenge their phony assumptions, logic, and quantitative claim that the result would equal the equivalent of one out of five autos!

And, maybe they''d like to tell us how/what corrective measures will ensure ALL these bad lawnmowers are adjusted/fixed/removed etcetera?! UH-HUH!

I hope everyone else sees how stupid this truly is!

And, how much time, effort, and money they are wasting on this! Thanks, GOP! Brought to you by the party of incompetence, corruption, waste, abuse, and hate!

I have an old fashioned reel push lawn mower. They use no energy except your own effort and give you a good workout. No pollution.

It seems kind of ridiculous. I think the majority of pollution from my mower is from it sitting around off. I noticed several years ago that it was always empty on gas when I wanted to use it. I discovered that it took very little fuel to mow the yard the rest was just evaporating. Must have a bad seal. I am willing to bet that the majority of pollution from lawn mowers is related to fuel spills and the like, which these regulations will do nothing to fix. They should have offered tax breaks for electric cordless mowers. That would have solved a lot more problems.
