Many of you so-called "patriots" disgust me. I am a ten-year, two campaign combat veteran. I own a home, a small business, and pay even in taxes to support a healthy salary PLUS some.

The measure of one''s patriotism isn''t decided by the thinking of their associates, but what those individuals are willing to SACRIFICE for the BETTERMENT of their COUNTRY. As awful as it may seem, thousands of servicemen enlist/are commissioned only to receive the backside benefits for THEMSELVES. That is a FACT. They are no more patriotic than your local fireman. Both COULD be in harm''s way for the sake of the public, but neither do so to advance the agenda of the NATION.

Americans need to demand a HIGHER STANDARD of government representatives across the board. NONE of our standing administration has earned the trust given them.

So long as so-called Americans continue to make a distinction between parties and progress, we will move FARTHER from the dream of the founding fathers.

Grow up, "Americans". Do your homework, learn your history and demand a return to a higher standard of governance on all fronts. We The People are no longer represented by EITHER leading party.

It has become clear over the last 8 years that Republicans may be good, hard working, law abiding people, but they sure pick some horrible, awful, nasty, unethical people to represent them. The Republican leadership doesn''t give a rat''s butt about the middle class - they care about the fat cats- the richest 1% of Americans that got the Bush tax cuts that were supposed to lead to job creation and prosperty for everyone. What happened Republicans? How come your big tax cuts for the wealthy didn''t encourage the investment in business and jobs that you all said it would? Give me one good reason that Republicans should get even one more day to govern after Bush''s term is done? Bush is lucky he hasn''t been impeached for incompetance, abuse of power and corruption and Republicans expect 4 more years? What a joke - almost as funny as presenting Palin as qualified. Biden is right she is the most divisive politician we have seen since George Wallace. Palin is vicious and ruthless - very unatractive qualities in someone who wants to be the first female VP - guess lipstick on a pit bull turn out not to be all that attractive.

"Like Wallace''s(George) base, Palin''s "true Americans" owe their authenticity to their rebellion against American institutions. Wallace''s campaign slogan evolved seamlessly from the separatist "Stand Up for Alabama" to the more subtly defiant "Stand up for America," promising a culturally displaced nation-in-exile its rightful place in the White House. Likewise, Palin lowers her voice in intimate solidarity with Americans who are "always proud" of their country%u2014even though her husband once belonged to a political party advocating secession"

Farrakhan Says ''''New Beginning'''' For Nation of Islam
CHICAGO (AP) %u2015The Nation of Islam, a secretive movement generally closed to outsiders, has planned a rare open-to-the public event at its Chicago-based headquarters in what the Minister Louis Farrakhan deemed a "new beginning" for the group. ........

.....He''''s also played down some of the group''''s more controversial beliefs. The Nation of Islam has taught that whites are descended from the devil and that blacks are the chosen people of Allah.

From a story on Obamas event today:

Bencal, who sings the anthem for a number of school events and is actively involved in local community theatre, had been contacted by the Obama campaign to sing the anthem. He agreed to do so, then was told later in the evening the anthem had been scratched from the program. Bencal said he was told by the campaign the decision was a simple programming change to make room for another speaker.

Palin is spot on the fact that some people is more patriotic than others in America. To about 50% of the population, John McCain is more patriotic than Obama because McCain fought for the country and Obama did not, whereas Palin is more patriotic than Biden. People in the country is more patriotic and love America more than those living in the cities, who are fed by the people in the country, clothed by the workers, and defended by the sons and daughters of pro-American areas so that those "intelligent" people in the cities or colleges can express freedom of speech and liberty to condemn and protest against their country. People are really tired of those who constantly blame Americans for the evils around the world.

By judging those people with whom Obama is closely associated throughout his adult life, and someone said that she is never proud of her country in her adult life, you can draw a conclusion on whether he is patriotic or not.

I am so tired of our country being polarized by people like Palin. There are compromises and middle roads which can pull us together ---where we can cooperate to make a better world. Palin is not interested in a better world---she just wants power and money--and she doesn''t care if she destroys our country to get it---kinda reminds me of Bush and the current Republicans in power. If she gets elected there will be more war and more corruption and there is a chance that American could cease to be. Democracy could cease to be. The levels of corruption are so high now. Obama and Biden can lead us to peace and prosperity.

Sara Palin is a bully. She is just an awful person. I''m still cannot believe all the risks she took as a pregnant woman about to deliver a baby--and I am a nurse--and none of that behavior was sensible or safe. That is an example of how she operates and thinks. Also she exhibited bully behavior as a governor. She reminds me of Bush---all this great confidence but with no real intelligence, understanding or ability---all brash hype. Surely American will have better sense than to let someone like her become VP---and then how can you trust McCain when he was the one who chose her? Go Joe Biden and Obama. Good sensible and intelligent men.
