- I''ve got news for you both.
Most bills are NOT read by the Senators or Congressmen. They don''t have time to read them as they have to spend most of their time fund raising. - Reply to this comment
- It is amazing to me how naive Obama followers are. Of course Palin was being CYNICAL. How in the world would she know that Obama loves this country when he does not identify himself with the flag or any other American symbols? From what Obama has shown, there is NO ONE that can infer that he loves this country. What happened is that she decided to play the same game that Obama plays by repeating ANYTHING she thinks the people want to hear, or what is politically acceptable.

- "That''s true,%u201D Palin said. %u201CHe sat in the pews for 20 years and heard Reverend Wright say some things that most people would find a bit concerning. But again that is John McCain''s call."
What about the hatred of America spewed by that Alaska Independence Party founder? Mr and Gov Palin have sat and probably applauded those statements. - Reply to this comment
- Sarah, Sarah, Sarah. You finally figured out that Sen. Obama loves America. We''re so proud of you Sarah. A gold star for you today.

- WHAT SHE SAID TO COURIC. They would be surprised to find out that she is a successful Governor of a US state (regardless of the number of people) with over 80% of approval rating. Likewise, they should try to find out what Obama has DONE. If they did, all they would find is lots of questionable stuff.
Just remember that uncontested and unverifiable election speeches do NOT provide a sound base to select who you want to be our president. It is all such nonsense rhetoric. Do not pay too much attention what the candidates SAY they will do for you. TALK IS CHEAP. Instead, LOOK AT THEIR TRACK RECORD. What they have done in THE PAST WILL TELL YOU WHAT THEY WILL DO in the future. If one of the candidates has little or no track record, it means that this person is not ready to be president. - Reply to this comment
- Palin has dropped some of her stump smears about Obama. I think she dropped them because McCain-Palin found another way to do it. They are blanketing my battleground state with robocalls slandering Obama in regard to Ayers. By doing that, they can publicly appear clean and yet benefit from the nasty. But it doesn''t change anything. Retirees still lost over Two Trillion in their 401K''s in the last two weeks. Three-quarters of a million are still unemployed, and tens of thousands more in the first two weeks of this month. People have still lost homes, health care, the ability to send their children to college and advanced vocational schools. And McCain''s advisers are still people like Carly Fiorina who got a 40 million dollar golden parachute for laying off 18,000 people. His advisers still include Rick Davis whose firm got two million for representing Fannie and Freddie, as well as Phil Gramm who, along with McCain, voted for bills which trashed regulation and caused this meltdown. People are hurting. Untrue statements about Obama and Ayers or so many other smears don''t help hurting people. In 2000, McCain attacked George W. Bush as unethical for using robocalls. Now McCain is using the same robocall firm. But we won''t forget. We are hurting. The real issue is the economy. Robocalls don''t help us any more than smears about Obama from Sarah Palin help us. McCain-Palin just don''t care about our real problems.

- What qualifies him to be an expert in the economy?

Maybe not Obama himself--but the fact that he chose to seek economic advice from someone like Warren Buffett--that speaks volumes as to the kind of talent he will consult with his administration.
As opposed to McCain''s choice of Phil ''Americans are a nation of whiners'' Gramm. - Reply to this comment
- "He does not even read the bills he votes for in congress"
Prove that statement please.
I''''ll look for your explanation but I''''ll bet you don''''''''t respond.

I will give you two to rest my case.
1. He and Biden voted YES to support the bridge to nowhere. They both incredibly made fun of the bill they kept alive. Had they actually read the bill, the bridge bill would not have been kept alive.
2. The vote on teaching kinder and elementary school kids about s*x and contraception. When confronted he said he THOUGHT it did not include pre-school age children.
3. He holds the record on voting Present. Are you kidding me? If he cannot make a decision one way or the other, what is he doing seeking the presidency? What does he think we are? Fools? I guess, if the polls say so. - Reply to this comment
