apje- you forget the fickle media. Doing all they can to get Obama elected, when they only have a Democratic controlled Congress, who do you think they''ll blame. They need to sell advertising and no one watches when there is only good news. So when Obama and the Congress screw which will be on Day 1, the media will be at their throats. Payback.

Boo hoo. I''m appalled at what I''m reading. You are a journalist traveling with the candidates for the presidency. You are privileged to be on either plane and to be involved the way you are.

What comes around goes around? Are you kidding me???!!!

Are you suggesting there''s going to be a backlash because you''re not treated nice enough??? What are you going to do: be biased against Obama...like your article.

You have to fly around in a cramped, smelly plane; you don''t get pretty books; you don''t get alot of bantering time; the schedule is always changing; you have to wait a few hours -- the man is running for president, he''s running a campaign, not a cruise line.

Suck it up and while you''re at it, in all of your down time, try to actually *be* a journalist and provide some real content and analysis.

How can you possibly say that McCain respects the press more than Obama when all McCain does all day is attack reporters for asking legitimate questions? Palin and McCain are constantly whining about the mainstream media and the media "filter", except when they are using Fox News or people like you to spread their BS. McCain''s spokespeople say the NY Times isn''t even a real newspaper when it doesn''t agree with them, but then Palin uses it as a reliable source to support her bogus Ayers allegations (but she didn''t bother to mention the premise of the article which concludes that Obama and Ayers have no strong ties) Why don''t you bring up the names of some of the Republicans who sat on the same education board with Ayers and Obama, or the major McCain supporter Annenberg who funded the whole Ayers committee? Maybe it''s because that would actually be news and you''d be doing your job instead of making mindless, trivial observations about the quality of your travel accommodations.

Great Mr. Reynolds - right on! I''d like to see your comments on the statement (author unk) "Any democracy will fail when its people learn they can vote themselves benefits." Will Sen Obama usher in the beginning of the end on January 20, 2009?

"I do believe that''''s code for racism."

no, reggie, it''s code for describing one''s observations. but i guess since you looney leftys have already made sure that any criticism of obama''s radical socialist politics, associations with all sorts of america-haters and unmitigated arrogance per se evcidence of racism, why am i not surprised. your comment is almost as stupid as the libby New York governor who said questioning his "community organizing work" is also racism. no, but it should be called what it is: street agitating. i''m sorry, but organizing and associating with extreme socialist groups like ACORN and home grown terroist bill ayers, who recently said they didn''t bomb enough government buildings, is thuggery. that''s how groups like these "organize." they use intimidation and threats to achieve their anti-democracy agenda.

so reggie, i guess i''m a racist for not liking someone who''s bad for this country.

here''s another observation, much the same way this reporter observed the obama campaign plane: people who are the first to scream racism anytime something doesn''t go their way are usually the biggest racists themselves because that''s the only way they see others. draw your own conclusion, reggie, if you can.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama''s, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. What was it that Michelle Obama said about Barrack Obama that he smelled bad, or stank?

I do believe that''''s code for racism.

Yeah Reggie, everythings about race with the Obama people, that way no one can criticse the "Dear Leader" lest they run the awful possibility of being called "GASP" A RACIST! Good lord, God save us from these buffoons. In their world, nothing could be worse, the collaspe of our economy and the destruction of our country are all worth it...so that we should not be judged RACISTS.Get a clue who the real RACISTS are Obama supporters...more racist hatred and vile attacks have emanated from the orifices of Obama supporters than at any time in modern history. Look in the mirror Reggie, you will see the RACIST there...

To all,

So members of the Calhoun County Sheriff''s Department, MSP, and other local
agencies inside Calhoun County are working with Secret Service in the
security of Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama''s bus arrives in Battle Creek and pulls
into the stadium area. Before Mr. Obama exits the bus, he has the Secret
Service get off and tell all Law Enforcement personnel in uniform that they
now have to stand behind the bus so Mr. Obama is not seen with anyone in a
Law Enforcement uniform before he gets off or while in the public view. So,
everyone from MSP, Sheriff''s Dept., and other agencies looks at each other
for a brief second, goes and stands behind the bus out of sight so Mr. Obama
does not have to see, or been seen with, what to him is ''undesirables'' since
he refuses to been seen or even acknowledge Military or Law Enforcement.

Just food for thought leading up to November 4th.

Wow, this is a hint of what an Obama presidency would look like, and it''s not pretty.

If anyone at CBS News actually reads these comments: Can you do something about this system? When I had tried to read the comments after the debates I thought my system was slow because I kept reading the same ones. I realize the system is not set up to handle high volume and results in people pushing publish over and over trying to get it to work.

What happened to the gripes about the food?

If everybody who commented kicked in a few bucks, we could buy Mr. Reynolds a Blackberry and maybe he could get the schedules. Who prints anything these days!

If Dean Reynolds covered Jesse Jackson''s presidential campaign, this should all be familiar territory. Jackson probably ran the most disjointed campaign in American history. Maybe there''s something in the Chicago water supply or maybe reporters are just now getting to know the real Barak Obama.

mike_arl- Obama will not need management experience. Pelosi/Reid will be running the country with their liberal, punish and tax business agenda. O will just follow orders of them. We''ll have ''15%approval'' Pelosi/Reid running things along with "Fannie is sound" Franks, "Sweetheart mortgage" Dodd, "rent is income?" Rengel and "bribes in the freezer" Jefferson. The squeaky clean COngress will only apply to republicans as the lobbysist who supported the DNC Convention extravanganza will run wild in the halls of Congress. Remember rules don''t apply to Democrats. And remember the change of heart to now allow drilling offshore? That will be the first thing that changes as Pelosi/Reid/Obama reinstitute the moratorium on drilling. Cindy McCain and Sarah Plain have more management experience than Obama. He couldn;t even call a meeting of the the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee on Afghanistan as Chairman. No party should control it all.

The reason this reporter is so surprised is that Liberals have built up in their minds that we conservatives are pure evil. When confronted with the novel idea that we''re just human beings, they''re confused. Well, from the treatment I''ve seen Sarah Palin get,and from the rude and hateful behavior I''ve personally witnessed from Liberals, it''s yourselves you should be concerned with. Not us. You folks really have a lot of soul-searching to do. Only one philosophy at least TRIES to be happy, and it sure ain''t you guys.

What a remarkable example of the liberal elite mindset and its use of power. The mainstream media who so enthusiastically supported BHO over HRC and all others, including McCain now has been treated as a lesser class than the ultra-elite Mr. Obama. Their response is telling in the last line of the article. This could be the first crack, and it may be a whole lot of fun to watch them tear each other to pieces.
