- Independent Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, who has jumped parties to support McCain, also called Palin''s comments "fair game" and suggested a double standard is at work among those who would say Obama''s ties are irrelevant.
"If the shoe was on the other foot and John McCain had one of his earliest campaign events at the home of somebody who had formed a radical group that had bombed buildings and then had been on a board with the guy for several years, you bet the Obama campaign would have been raising that question. It''s just the way it is, - Reply to this comment
- Keating was convicted. McCain was disciplined. Palin should get kicked in the head. Accused means convicted only if you disagree with the radical neocon extremists who are going to try to hijack another election.
Palin - Take your Walter Hickel pedigree and go back to Alaska! Maybe you can graduate from college this time. - Reply to this comment
- Really. I think it is the racists/bigots like you and McCain/Palin who make the big thing out of race. He seems to go along not speaking of it or trying to use it at all. YOU AND MCCAIN''''S FLUNKIES ARE THE ONES TRYING TO TELL EVERYONE "WAKE UP HE''''S A *N*I*G*G*E*R*", LIKE NO ONE ELSE EXCEPT MCCAIN NOTICED IT.

- John McCain has shown through his past actions that he has absolutely no concern for the wellbeing of middle-class Americans. When taking that into consideration, just how do you think he will handle the current financial disaster our economically battered nation is in today? For an answer to that question, one must look to the past, specifically McCain%u2019s disgraceful involvement in the Keating Five savings-and-loan scandal that decimated our economy, not to mention millions of hard working American%u2019s life savings, in the late 1980%u2019s.
Millions of Americans had their life savings wiped out when one savings-and-loan after another went down because of the criminality of repugnant swindlers such as Charles Keating. Keating is a convicted felon who defrauded millions out their life savings, while at the same time he donated more money to McCain%u2019s campaign than any other contributor. And what did McCain do when he learned of Keating%u2019s arrest? He illegally tried to use his influence to keep his good friend and single largest campaign contributor out of jail.
McCain%u2019s involvement as the key figure in the Keating Five scandal is a window into his past, present, and future disregard for middle-class Americans. I urge all decent Americans who are sick and tired of being treated like second class citizens by the reprehensible corporate elite on Wall Street and their enablers such as John McCain, to take a look at KeatingEconomics.com - Reply to this comment
- All I can say! Most of the smear campaign isn''t changing anyone''s mind it is just reinforcing the idea that Republican''s are nasty duplicitous people willing to do anything to win the election!!!! Including lying, cheating and stealing. That''s one of the many reasons I quit voting for them back in the 80''s when their party took a toxic turn! It seems to eventually taint everyone who gets close to it including McCain!!!!

- Look at how many Democrat posters here are throwing out "Red Herrings" trying to cover how far in the left gutter Obama is.
Obama is once again playing the race card by proxy. - Reply to this comment
- Obama was 8 years old when Ayers was voicing protest, as many of us boomers did. Ayers is now a well respected professor in the education field.
Anyone with half a brain knows that the GOP has no ammunition so they are shooting blanks at Obama. They are just digging themselves deeper into defeat. What they are doing is NOT PRESIDENTIAL and if I were swinging to the Republican side, this would turn my vote to Obama. They are acting like immature children who can only bully others. Fighters. You want world peace? Forget it if you vote for McSAME.
I bet George Washington is hanging his head low to see such a play in the political arena - sad that the GOP has made a mockery of the voting process. And Abe Lincoln? Probably laughing and knowing Obama will win, his clear choice. - Reply to this comment

- A quote about the author of the "Analysis". "Douglass K. Daniel of the Associated Press is not a journalist; he is a venal operative who serves as mindless stenographer of the Obama campaign. "
In other words Obama is once again playing the race card, desperate to cover his tracks. - Reply to this comment
- Telling the truth is the ultimate duty of any campaign. And, the truth is Barrack Hussein Obama kick started his political career inside AYERS home with a ''fancy'' dinner party dedicated specially to the Messiah!
So, the truth has to be said to all americans.
My father used to say:
TELL ME WHO YOU WALK AROUND WITH AND I WILL TELL YOU WHO & WHAT YOU ARE.
and, so far, i have checked this to be 100% correct. - Reply to this comment

- McCain is deperate. See how a real looser runs a clean campaign. 40 years ago I was marching in the streets protesting an unjust war.Now the economy is in the New Great Depression. McCain is too scared to go on David Letterman! Sarah Palin pays less income tax than I do, I make $24k a year. John McCain was the leader of the Keating 5. Look it up on google. He has taken large amounts of money from G. Gordon Liddy.Palin''s hubby isn''t just a snowmobile guy, he works for Exxon. Oh, by the way, everyday Exxon sponsors this anti Obama ***. Just look tomorrow and look who sponsors it. McCain isn''t country first, he is MCCAIN FIRST!

- Well all righty then, wasn''t Ted Bundy employed by a certain REPUBLICIAN governor in Washington state and wasn''t Dennis Rader, the "BTK Killer" a REPUBLICIAN, successful candidate in the city of Witchia,KS. Therefore, Senator McCain and Governor Pailin, are of representing a party of serial killers! And that''s what they call Family Values or Fatal Facts?
