- Someone needs to ask that woman what she meant by saying such a thing. Regardless of whether the word should have been ''help'' or ''support'', I want to know what her intention was in sharing such an outrageous statement in the context of this rally she was at.

- Palin''s vitriol and sarcasm are disturbing. More so, when you consider she can''t answer any direct question that she hasn''t rehearsed. To believe her rants his irresponsible. She''s nothing more than a news reader.

- Both McCain and Palin have many shady associations so shouldn''t throw stones. Gordon Liddy and the Alaska Independence Party are just starters.
(BTW, I''m going to heaven because I don''t lie. Palin can''t make that claim.) - Reply to this comment
- McCain is in panic mode. Why the right wingers here don''t care about Palin''s husband being in, as well as she supporting an organization who worked to remove Alaska and their oil from the USA. Also, McCain was part of the biggest banking scandal in US history, the Keating 5.

- Unfortunately Palin''s job is to convince Americans that Obama is an any way, shape, or form un-patriotic. That job involves a smear-fest. She should be held accountable for her lies about Obama''s tax-plan. Independent Tax firms have released their findings of both McCain and Obama. Not accepting the fact that Obama''s plan provides tax cuts for 95% of Americans is a sham and in no way "Straight-Talk" or "100% truth", that McCain promised the country.

- I would like to thank those obvious desperate Republican supporters of McCain/Palin for displaying their insulting and ridiculous claims of Obama''s non-sensical and outlandish supposed association with The Weatherman William Ayers. I mean this is typical of a losing campaign with a losing message that has in the past been successful along with the lack of answers for the pressing national problems which have been conveniently replaced by gutter slimy attacks that resonate with people who apparently find no problem with Sarah Palin''s lack of intellect since they identify quite nicely because of their own lack of ..................YOU GOT IT.
Now that''s analytical. Good Job. - Reply to this comment
- "Palin said that if she had her druthers, she would have rather told Couric about her plans for reform, putting government on the side of the people, and winning the wars" - She had that chance in the debate in St. Louis. Not once did she give specific examples of how the self-proclaimed mavericks will reform washington, fix our economy, or conduct the iraq war. simply saying you will put the government back on the side of the people is not enough. She can rally the conservative base, but she can not inspire the independent vote.

- As a Independent women voter and NON Palin supporter; looks like I''m going to hell. Maybe someone can contact Palin''s minister, I believe he needs to go on another "witch" hunt; I don''t think he will have to look real hard to find that WITCH!!!!!!

- [Obama saying he%u2019d cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans]
You know, a responsible media organization might do some actual reporting and see what the facts are, rather than "reporting" claims and counter-claims. Wouldn''t that be a great thing for the American people? Obama''s tax plan DOES cut taxes for 95% of the population. It increases taxes on those making more than $250,000 a year. (Somebody''s got to pay for Bush''s wars. Why should it be working and middle class people?) - Reply to this comment
- Sarah Palin does just fine when she has a teleprompter, or several days of rehearsals with Bush-camp handlers, to tell her what to say. In her "do-over" interview with Fox News, she suddenly discovered herself reading the hated NY Times and the Wall Street Journal and several other publications she never touches. And why should she touch them? Her charm and winks and rehearsed canned lines (the maverick who ruffles feathers, you betcha) are what has gotten her all the attention she currently enjoys. She is a thoughtless, uninformed, well-rehearsed liar--just like George Bush, the worst president, ever. Thank you, Republicans, for our destroyed economy, our ruined financial system, our wrecked international reputation, the bottomless pit of loss which is the war in Iraq. Incompetence, greed, and lies: we can''t afford another four more years of it. Our country deserves much better: Obama.

- I don''t think anyone has said that Obama is responsible for what someone else did when he was 8 years old. What they are saying is that he has kept company with this man, Ayers, who to this day has never said he was sorry for what he did and was quoted as saying that he was sorry he didn''t do more. There is plenty of proof out there if you research that there were ties between Obama and Ayers during the time Obama was working in Chicago.

- It is so sad to see so many people who are supporting Obama. This man is associated with Bill Ayers who did bomb the Pentagon in 1972 and brags about it. Obama did make 2 joint appearances with Bill Ayers which was set up by Michelle Obama then Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago. Obama sat on the Woods Board and together he and Bill Ayers and others elected to donate $75,000 to the Arab Action Network which was co-founded by Rashid Khalidi, big supporter of Palestine, who hosted a fundraiser for Obama in 2000 and who now supports Obama because he thinks Obama expresses sympathy for the Palestinian Cause. Then there is Rev. Wright who preached using Black Theology which states the acceptance of God only through the destruction of the the whites. For 20 years Obama attended this church. Now I read that there are some 11,500 questionable FOREIGN DONORS to his campaign, 520 of which listed their state as Ir which stands for Iran. There are a lot more problems with his donations besides this. Senator Biden is pro Iran and was one of only 16 senators who voted against a bill which would add Iran''s Revolutionary Guard Corps to the list of International Terriorist. He stated in 2005 that Iran''s emotional needs needed to be addressed by America. Why is he such a strong supporter of Iran? Find out who financed his campaigns and you will find your answer. Be responsible check Obama out and not off his website.

If Meida does not do the job in vetting Obama and his past shady, diabolical connection. its about time for Sarah to highlight Obamma past. Man is always judges by the company he keeps or has kept in the past.
SO far he is has managed to defelct attention by playing teh race card or burying himself in issues. Issues are important but character is vital for change we all want.Without cahracter its pretty much an empty suit.

- real1413, I actually went to grad school with Ted at the U of M in 1965, and had a desk with his in the same large TA room up on the 3rd floor ... and thus I can say you are just as potentially dangerous with your abuse of logic as he was then with his.

- You people are beyond demented and delusional. Obama is no more a muslim nor terrorist than you or me however it is comfortable for those believing that *** because he is a black man and deep down your not ready for an intelligent, educated, well spoken leader who you know is right for this country. Believe what you want however you are simply being used by the republicans who don''t care about you unless you make about 100 million or above and that you know is true.

- I see that the desperate liars are out in force today. Only completely ignorant uneducated people believe that Obama is a muslim radical and all that other garbage.
This country is on a financial precipice and the only thing these fools can post are a bunch of lies and obvious smears.
No wonder Obama is ahead and climbing. - Reply to this comment
- Palin is a Republican through and through. Palin knows the stupid and uneducated will accept a lie as the truth. Palin is counting on the mob mentality that fear can cause. This is a good test of our education system. Are more Americans really that stupid after 8 years of Bush or have we started to open our eyes?

- The Repugs do this every election! They lie there way into another term. Because it''s the only way they can win! They can''t win telling the truth about their policies and track record! No sane American but a right wing nut would vote for them! So all they can do is try and slime a honorable man and hope some of it sticks enough to get elected! McCain is a senile old man who isn''t in possession of all of his faculties. Palin is an insult to intelligent women!

- Lets look at the educational credentials of each individual who are all from Chicago:
Ted Kazinski, Unabomber: Harvard BA, University of Michigan Phd.
Bill Ayers, Weathermen : University of Michigan BA, Columbia University Masters in Ed.
Barack Obama: Columbia University BA and Harvard J.D.
It does seem curious that these three individuals each have two degrees and all the degrees for the three individuals only come from three institutions of higher learning, Harvard, Columbia and the University of Michigan.
The timing is curious too. Perhaps there is a nexus further than all three being raised in Chicago and all three going to these three universities. - Reply to this comment
