I cannot respect somebody who is willing to get on the National Stage and spew memorized talking points that have so little meaning to her that she is unable to give any specific, rational examples of what she is talking about.

I know that isn''t that unusual for Republicans as they are accustomed to daily talking points sent out to all polititians and pundits and they all repeat over and over what somebody else has decided for them sounds good politically, even if it is common for it to be illogical.

I have a personal preference for the thinking types, but I think Sarah Palin will fit right in with the Republican Party.

Not only has the McCain camp struggled to explain why mere closeness to Russia gives Palin foreign policy creds, but Palin herself cannot clearly explain it.

I believe her comment about Putin raising his head was not referencing his personal travel but rather his military jets coming into US airspace. This statement was clear to me but perhaps my military background made it clear but might have left it confusing to others. In addition military briefings are often confidential in their content but not in their existence. I might have briefed a Senator or Congressman on confidential information but the Member of Congress would be free to say publicly he/she received that brief.

cdfoxtrot3- Hate to tell you but she was more than likely told that these briefings were clasified. The military can talk about parts of them if ok''''ed by higher command. Besides her as the governer should not be going around telling people that Russia is flying over the state. That is for the defense departement to discuss. Just my take as a military employee.

Why would they classify briefing a governor? Wouldn''t they classify the "close airspace incursions" themselves instead of a breifing to a governor who has nothing to do with a response? And if these briefing are classified, why are they talking about it?

You might be surprised that we have just went through the WORST President in US History. That same President and his PARTY removed laws and regulations putting us in the WORST financial Crisis in my lifetime. We are bogged down in what is considered by just about everyone on earth to be the WORST military blunder in our history AND our banks are failing. Just how much FAILURE would you be willing to accept for the "Party"??

In 2006 McCain did fly to Georgia (through Alaska of course) and they easy could see each other. No, not from the porch of her Vasilla house. Do not be stupid. Element51 One other thing you might want to check into what party most of the media supports. As far as I know and I read a lot, there is only one that does not support the Dem. part and that one does not vote in this country. Read a little once in a while. There are 5 corps who own the media. The owners of these companies are very, very wealthy and their political interests do not lie with the democrats. SunRae7 First I must ask has Obama been ask the hard question about his abilities and his assocciations? No he has not why? That could be many reason but the main one is I think that most of the media is far left and don''t want to ask those question for fear of destorying his chances. We are not trying to elect the PTA president. This is the 2nd most powerful person in America. We have only 40 some days to find out who she is, what she stands for and whether or not she has the intellectual horsepower required for one of the highest positions in the nation. She should not be sheltered and used for only fund raising ... she needs to be investigated like anyone else to see if she has the "stuff" needed for this position.

Clearly, McCain has used her to his advantage to energize the republican party but he has done her no favors. She was not prepared to jump into the national scene and it''s gets more obvious with each interview. Had John picked Lieberman as his running mate (which he was going to do until the last moment), these interview questions would not seem so painful. It''s painful to watch because a seemingly nice person who is unprepared for the national stage made a bad decision to be used as a political pawn to momentarily excite the party. It''s obvious she doesn''t know much nationally and her lack of experience is hard to watch but necessary to evaluate.
