- Sarah Palin is the MESSIAH...coming down from the Frozen North to part the waters, sermonize to the illiterate, and heal the crippled. She is Sarah the Chosen One. The Cult of Sarah is born. HALLELUJAH TO OUR SAVIOR! The worshippers are chanting now...hear them chanting as one in mindless ecstasy...as they sacrifice a struggling moose on the blood altar to the Chosen One Herself. The lipstick-wearing bulldog from Heaven Above. Bigger than Angelina Jolie. Even bigger than Angelina Jolie''s baby! Bow your heads and pray, all you little people out there...pray to THE WORLD''S BIGGEST CELEBRITY... SARAH PALIN!!!

- Palin is like an ink blot test. People see what they want, but it''s all in their head. Otherwise, it''s just an empty image made of ink. That''s all Palin is- just empty.
She should have stuck with sportscasting. Reading scripts is all she is really good for. - Reply to this comment
- To correct some inaccuracies: Public financing funds are VOLUNTARILY designated by each tax payer for a specific amount of money. So it is not taxpayer money in the sense that the taxpayers have no choice: we do. Secondly, re: McCain''s campaign coffer in currently near one half of Obama''s and since Obama backed away from his pledge to stick with public financing he claims to need to at least double if not trible that by Nov. He has spent more on his campaign than any Presidential candidate in U.S. history and he says it isn''t enough. Consider that when you jab McCain/Palin fund raising.

- I heard the story right after the convention from one of the campaign aides charged with setting things up for ths speech. She (the aide) reported her own embarrassment and near panic when she lost the hard copy that usually accompanies all speakers. So another campaigner, minutes before Palin was to go on, took his crumpled and scribbled over copy out of his pocket. The aides were frantic but Palin was cool. She just pressed it flat out and said it would be fine. When she got to the podium the teleprompter started to fail momentarily but rebounded quickly. The aide was impressed considering how totally panic they were and how calm and self assured Sarah was. After all there was so much pressure put on her for that ''make or break'' speach''. She wasn''t lying. She almost had no copy and no teleprompter. She had memorized the speech and chose to give it to the people in front of her instead of the camera. I find her poise and grace refreshing.

- Poor John McBush, horned by Bush in 2000, 2004 and now in 2008. Trying to trick the America public in to voting for a woman and him. Only problem is she might have more dirty baggage then expected. Poor old fool.

- Yes, the McCain/Palin campaign is a pathological lying machine.
So does the GNP have to report the dollar amount raised at this event?
Or do they just pathologically give any amount they feel will garner a vote? - Reply to this comment
