- "Republicans and Independents should not worry. You may soon be looking at Palin/Pelosi bumper stickers.
That''''s right, if something were to happen to McCain who do you think would be our # 1 and 2?"
drobe3, read the Constitution - the President has the power to name a Vice-president in the event of a vacancy. That''s how Ford became President - Agnew resigned - Nixon filled the position with Ford, then Nixon resigned. The speaker becomes president only if something happens to both the president and vice-president. - Reply to this comment
- 1. I''m a Republican, voting for Obama.
2. Palin is definitely not qualified to be President.
3. The SNL Opener was not only hilarious, and dead on-target in it''s satire, I think it elevated Governor Palin to permanent super-star status.
As good as Tina Fey was in her impression, that''s really how good Sarah Palin is on "the stump". I am seriously starting to re-think my own notions about what qualifies a person to lead this country. We survived eight years of George W. Bush, and given a choice going forward, I''ll take Sarah Palin over what we''ve just been through any day. The way I see it, we can''t lose! - Reply to this comment
- To Paul,
Palin is not leading America out McCain would be he is running. You can''t just assume McCain is about to die geezzz. That''s what everyone is forgetting it''s McCain for President not PALIN. In that case you need to assume Biden is leading America out as well. Anything can happen to a president God forbid but it''s the truth. - Reply to this comment
- I thought SNL was soooo funny. I do happen to like Sarah Palin. I think she is just as qualified as Obama. I doubt McCain is going to die within 4 years his mother is 92 that says something.
Secondly what about Biden he has a chance he may be a heart beat away. Why isn''t anyone asking him is he ready.
Everyone has their own opinions on who will be best for this country. Whatever the outcome if it''s bad we only have four years of it. I will be the first and maybe only on this blog to say GO Palin GO!!!! McCain Too. Gee I wonder how he feels knowing everyone thinks he''s going to die any day now. - Reply to this comment
- Tina Fey summed up Palin better than any Washington analyst.

- Anyone who missed the SNL Palin/Clinton skit last night should utube it. It was laugh-out-loud funny. Tina and Amy were brilliant.

- That was insanely funny. I think I will now vote McCain/Palin just because SNL will be so much funnier than if they lose! But seriously, I am beyond frightened that she will be VP or even worse P. Come on people, wake up!!! What is wrong with you?

- Scott, it''s "separate," not "seperate."

- Oh. My. God.
How long will it take for the drugs somebody slipped me to wear off? This can''t really be happening.
I was thinking it wouldn''t be so bad even if McCain won before but adding this obviously unprepared V.P. nomination to the ticket has changed all that. It in now VITAL that Obama Biden win.
Look at the actuarial tables and there is at least a 1 out of 3 chance Palin might actually become president. America is in dire straits now from 8 years of Bush and that would just flush any chance we have at getting back on the right track right down the toilet. - Reply to this comment
- It was FUNNY- its great that we can all still laugh even through all of the serious situations that are going on. I agree with freedog 007, i love how the obama camp is trying to pick at her lack of experience. i suppose that if they are picking at her the public would not notice the lack of experience from the other guy.

- It was hilarious. The far left can focus on all her weaknesses while ignoring the same in their candidate. But the critical voting block see the true strength and potential in Sarah. She IS our future.

- Frankly, it really is not funny. America is in dire straits. Palin is not the one to lead her out. She has no international experience or concept. Canada and Mexico vacations don''t count. And that leaves Kuwait. For what - a day? Duh...
