Putting lipstick on a pig is an expression that''s been around for a long time. Geez, McCain, you old slump... check an urban dictionary or two if you want to keep up with current expressions. Hockey Mom''s speechwriters didn''t "invent" the line... they just altered it. Obama was using the more traditional expression... which seems appropriate considering we''re always talking about PORK spending.
