- I''''m a HUGE Obama supporter, however this latest gaffe on the liberation of Auschwitz is bad. PErhaps he meant Buchenwald, Dora-Mittelbau, Flossenb|rg, Dachau, or Mauthausen. The Americans liberated these camps. Obama could very well have not known which camp it was.
BTW, i''''m a WHITE JEW who is FOR OBAMA. I''''m voting for him for his policy intentions, NOT for his gaffes or mis-statements.
OBAMA has run a clean campaign. THAT counts for something.

Oh come now! If a member of your family (a great uncle) served in the military and was part of a great and important part of history - the liberation of Jews - wouldn''t YOU remember the camp''s name? It was talked about in Obama''s family (according to Obama himself), so how could YOU (Obama) forget the name? Boy! Obama sure has DECEIVED many people. Sad and scary. - Reply to this comment
- Since Obama didn''t serve in the Military, he had to build himself up by bringing in one of his relatives who did serve, but unfortunately he messed up the details. LOL! Doesn''t know his history, even when his great-uncle was involved in it!

- Maria Gavrilovic''s ridiculous HBO empty-notebook Scott Templeton-esque "finesse reporting" is what is wrong with journalism today. The man never said "liberated." Not once. If I was her editor, I would definitely cite her name in the humiliating Corrections Section that should soon follow this embarrassment for CBS, not to mention the few shrug ''n'' print papers who went along with it.

- Obama''s family served in every military engagement in history, including the invasions of Rome and the Holy Roman Empire. Most were generals, who fought hard and were rewarded with many spoils. One was the right to lie with impunity and to make up stories about friends and relatives. In addion to serving on numerous fronts at the same time, the Obama military genius is known to be an inheritable trait, as is the ability to run any government or business at the drop of a hat.
We are so grateful that Obama will be our self-proclaimed candidate and president. After all, what more can you expect from the people of this country, much less from the "democratic" Party. - Reply to this comment
