It''s one of those things the mainstream media won''t bother discussing in this presidential campaign, but Sen. Barack Obama has this really sleazy close friend and political fixer who is on trial in Chicago for buying and selling influence in Illinois politics. Tony Rezko has been in jail without bond while he is being tried on federal corrupt influence charges for months now because he failed to disclose a 7-figure wire transfer payment he received from a corrupt former Iraqi businessman, Nadhmi Auchi. Rezko finally made bail last week with a little help from another Iraqi fugitive from justice, Aiham Alsammarae. The Sun-Times is reporting that Alsammarae put up more than one-third of the $8.5 million in cash and property pledged for Rezko''s bail.

Attention America! We must not allow our nation to be divided by politicians seeking election or media outlets seeking %u201CHot%u201D stories to gain advertising dollars.

Other than the indigenous people, all other Americans came from some other nation and brought with them a corresponding cultural influence. A casual observation would reflect English, Irish, Italian, Polish, French, Chinese, Spanish and yes African traditions interwoven into the fabric which is America. Our pre-American origins and traditions are as important too us as family history. We should not be required to abandon who we are nor should we seek to destroy the cultural heritage of other Americans.

The beauty of America is its diversity and the ability of this diverse population to love this country. What makes us unique as Americans is the flavoring we receive from exposure to this diversity. What make us strong is the ability of our citizens to rally in defense of the promise of our Constitution and our common interest.

As a nation we are faced with some of the greatest challenges in our history. To overcome these challenges we must unite our people. Do not be deceived%u2026 the real enemies of America are those that seek to weaken us using the age old %u201CDivide and conquer%u201D strategy. %u201CUnited we stand%u2026Divided we fall%u201D.

The press has to back off linking Obama with his preacher. Much has already been discussed about this. The campaign has said what it needed to say. This is another attempt by a media that has to sensationalize everything for financial gain.Please focus on the real issues, not on distractions. Wright has the right to say what he wants, that doesn''t mean that Obama has to respond to everything his ex-preacher says. Does McCain respond to Rev. Hagee''s constant stupid copmments? No, because he doesn''t have to. This is a political campaign and too much has been said of Rev. Wright. The public is tired of this coverage!
