- Obama is half White and half Black, he grew up in Hawaii and moved to Chicago to help the with impoverished conditions. Have you ever been the the South Side of Chicago? Not defending the Pastor, but you have to know that a Pastor in that neighborhood is NOT going to be preaching about how good conditions are when they are bleak and very dim. It is shocking to see Americans living in those conditions in our beloved City of Chicago, just open your minds a little bit and go over the Pastor''s statements again before you expect him to preach about green pastures, plentiful land of milk and honey. You have to put his message into content. Ask the media for more of his sermon to be released, not just the 30 seconds you have heard. Obama didn''t grow up in the civil rights era, he never had to sit in at lunch counters, he denounced them and yes ALL churches have to do a better job at being more sensitive, but the Black church since slavery has been where political rhetoric was the ONLY place Blacks could discuss politics. White churches ALSO discuss political rhetoric, so now what do we do???? MOVE ON, go foward come together as a nation, focus on the issues, and judge the candidates for what they are offering NOT for people who they know that say things we don''t always agree with, or things we don''t like, blah blah. Let''s move on!!! The United States needs to be UNITED. The world doesn''t see black or white it just sees America, so united we must stand!!!

- Rev. Wright''s church says this was all taken out of context. o.k. My request to this church is prove it. Every large church keeps transcripts whether it be taped or typed of every sermon. For in the future possibility of selling a "best of" sermons DVD$. Make these transcripts available, now! Then we''ll be the judge. No spin. Just plain english from the entire transcripts.

- I have never been in any denomination of church. Including southern black baptist and heard the minister take the Lord''s name in vain to get a point across. Never! This Rev. Wright is a racially bigoted man and the support of this so called Black Values is a terible example of racism. I have always treated everyone as my equal and to have this Black Value system thrown in my face if extremely upsetting. Barack knew exactly what this minister was about.

- kiwi_chick -- Now why in the world would I have ever supported someone with such a paltry resume, with ties to someone like Rezko, and now the dear Rev. "Gd Dam n America" Wright, and a wife who admittedly was never proud of the United States in her adult life until her husband started getting voted for in a primary election.
Not a chance. - Reply to this comment

Now, now, don''t be too rough on ''im.
After telling us that it only takes fourth grade reading ability to pass the bar in Illinois. I''m kinda curious to see what else he''s gonna try to sell us... - Reply to this comment

Don''t you have something in your Rules of Professional Conduct that compel you to act in a moral and ethical manner at all times? I can''t comment as to your morality but your tone and language is surely not that of an ethical attorney. I daresay Barack Obama would not miss your support as it is obvious he never had it. I find it quite humorous that you flaunt your Illinois bar credentials as if they assure you of being an up and up and stellar human being. Crooks and liars? Are those not words used by a vast number of Americans in describing the legal profession?
Now tell me, what experience at being President has either Clinton or McCain had? Certainly McCain has had more political experience as he has held public office longer, but Clinton hasn''t had more experience than Obama. With regard to your comment about Obama not wearing a flag pin on his lapel. Well, that''s quite a compelling argument. Dubya wears one I notice...and look what he''s done for us. Not a good comparison I''m afraid. - Reply to this comment

- Barak should quit. He lied, plain and simple and his belief system is not appropriate for a leader of a country where his pastor has for
20 YEARS degraded and preached hate against the very country Barak seeks to lead.
Republicans have all the ammo they need now. Barak trying to push the tax return tactic is so weak right now and does nothing to addres HIS problem, which is racism and bigotry.
He is a divider and his minister has just blown everyones mind with his racism and hatred.
It explains why Michelle does not like this country, and she is supposed to be first lady. How will she represent us? "I like it now that I am first lady but until now it sucked as a country?"
Barak lied, twice. Rezko and now knowing Wrights comments have ever been "inflamatory"? Is Barak awake.
Baraks judgement is flawed. Anyone who could sit in that church for 20 years and tolerate that "intolerance" and say "I didn''t know" is a LIAR. And to think that the American public will buy that answer is arrogant.
I call this the "Audacity of Self Righteousness" and it trips up the arrogant EVERY TIME. - Reply to this comment
