"The bottomline is that the LDS have a definite understanding of what we believe the entire plan of salvation is and though it doesn''''t "fit" with what typical Christians believe, it doesn''''t make us less Christian. We believe we are following the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a very true sense"

You read and supposedly believe the Bible don''t you? IF so then you must also believe this:
Matthew 7: 21-23 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Jesus Speaking)

In regard to what we believe occurs AFTER this life - why should that bother anyone? The bottomline is that the LDS have a definite understanding of what we believe the entire plan of salvation is and though it doesn''t "fit" with what typical Christians believe, it doesn''t make us less Christian. We believe we are following the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a very true sense.

Bethide (and ilikemike) - as one of those "bitter LDS" Romney supporters - here is the issue. Huckabee was the keynote speaker at the Southern Baptist convention in SLC years ago - the "convention" was held there to essentially convert Mormons. My issue with Huckabee is the fact that he PRETENDED not to know anything about Mormons (CLEARLY A LIE) and then went on to "ask" whether they believe Satan and Jesus are brothers. Lucifer became Satan AFTER he was cast out of Heaven - he was once an angel (the Bible tells us this). Since the LDS believe all of us existed prior to coming to this life - yes, we believe ALL of us were once spiritual brothers and sisters. Huckabees intent was to freak people out - it was neither innocent or completely honest.

I am so tired of people accusing Mike Huckabee of religious intolerance! Look, bitter LDS Romney supporters: all he DID was answer a question about the beliefs of the Mormon faith. He answered it correctly. Do not malign him- he was not criticizing the LDS church or seeking to discredit Mitt. There are plenty of other issues to discredit Mitt on, thank you very much!
Two weeks after declaring "Washington is broken and John McCain is part of the problem", Mitt secures a backroom deal and performs his greatest flip-flop of all. I guess it''s not terribly surprising, but I wish the GOP brass understood that people are tired of politics as usual, and sickened by this type of insincerity. Romney is the most artificial politician seen in recent years, and he just proved it. I hope his delegates flock to support the ONE authentic Conservative- indeed, the one authentic PERSON- left in the race: Governor Mike Huckabee.

Give me one good reason why Huckabigot and his supporters would even think Romney would endorse him.

1. Huckapreach has spent a good portion of his life disseminating false and misleading literature and propaganda about Mitts faith and religion.

2. Huckafoney preaches God every chance he gets and then act exactly opposite to his preaching. He claims innocence constantly about the little inaccuracies he constantly spews and the things he does. Huckacrite is just that: a hypocrite.

The media pundits have all but squashed Mike Huckabee under their feet like a bug! The talking heads with the immature school-yard comments. This is not representative of how the voters feel. Who writes their script? Are we finally dealing with class issues now that race is behind us? Is Mike too southern, too white-trash for the elite arm of the Republican party? Mike Huckabee is the only candidate that has gone to every state for votes. Dogged it hand shake by handshake. This is an example of a leader who puts service before power. We read so much about what makes a great leader, and then we are expected, almost demanded, to choose McCain for President? Hungry in-crowd Republcans step aside for the real giant, Mike Huckabee. Not presumptuous, and concerned about the people of our nation. Slow down media gurus! Let we the people pick our president! Why should Mike Huckabee leave the presidential race? How dare the media minimize the choices of the states that have not yet voted? What are they trying to do to our election system? Take away the choice of the people? Who is responsible at CNN and FOX News? I am disgusted by the way they demean Mike Huckabee. It will serve them right when Mike wins Wisconsin and Texas!

I am sick and tired of having to be PC about just about everything BUT being a Christian! It seems to be OK to bash Christians and yet, the organizations who help out when diasasters strike are almost all Christian organizations!

Mike Huckabee stands on Christian principles and will someone tell me WHAT is wrong with that?

Also, when Huckabee won West Virginia, they said he had made a deal with McCain. I think now it''s apparent that no deal was made, but that McCain just wanted to get rid of Romney. Now that he''s done that he''s using Romney to get rid of Huckabee! So, I ask you is THAT the kind of person you want running our country?

I want someone with good moral integrity and the only one I see running for President that fits that bill is Mike Huckabee!!!

One more thing about Simaahs post: just to again state the FACTS: Governor Huckabee won FIVE states on super Tuesday, not three!

I''m wondering WHY simaah takes umbrage w/the statement, (whether made by Huckabee or anyone else)that the Mormon church believes that Lucifer is Jesus'' brother? Is he ASHAMED of his belief? I know that IT''S A FACT that this is part of the credo of the Mormon church, having studied w/them & read the Book of Mormon, myself! I wonder if he''s also aware, that it''s believed when they are married in a Mormon temple & procreate that they will become Gods in the afterlife with their own planets? If he is not aware of what the religion is founded on & actually teaches, perhaps instead of taking it at face value,(as many are doing with the candidates in this election) he should do a little study himself, before casting aspersions on Mr. Huckabee! About Mr. Copeland, I think we all agree that this IS America & everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty! Being investigated does not prove guilt! I DO find it interesting that Congress has chosen NOW w/an upcoming election to investigate Christian leaders! I also noted that the news chose to give TOP coverage to one extremist group,(who unfortunately call themselves Baptists)that are way out of touch w/mainstream Christianity! And in EVERY news article & broadcast the MEDIA always begins reference to Huckabee, not as former Governor of Arkansas, but first as ordained Baptist minister! Gee, who DID put religion into this campaign, anyway?
