- Carol,
You are right on a few things, but mostly all wrong. Most evangelicals who have voted for Huckabee so far, do so because they believe him. He has always been a conservative and supported the issues that you mentioned.
We don''t have to worry about whether he will change when the office he wants to run for changes.
We not only do not believe Mitt Romney; those of us in Iowa saw him mail the most negative and distorted ads about Huckabee.
Never mind that Romney still supports "gay rights", instituted mandatory or government-funded health care in Massachusetts, which is still reeling from that escapade.
You also wrote about Obama - "The other thing that the same people flood the internet with is that Obama belongs to a Black Supremecist Christian Church.
"
In fact, his church did give an award to black supremacist, Louis Farrakhan. Obama denounced that decision and should be believed.
Your guy is out - get over it.
We will talk religion another day. - Reply to this comment
- After Obama is elected, I wonder at what point the anti-Romney folks will sit down and realize that the WORST thing their Mormon next-door-neighbors ever did to them was.... nothing.
I wonder at what point they will realize that Republicans BELIEVE in free enterprise and capitalism, and that those who succeed in that realm probably understand economics more than those who don''t.
I wonder at what point that those who gloat over the amount of money Romney spent will figure out that those who understand the principles of creating wealth will do it again, ten-fold.
I wonder at what point they will realize their taxes are going up, up, up. BTW, the Clintons imposed RETROACTIVE tax hikes their last time in office.
I wonder at what point they will realize that embryonic stem cell research and abortion are now FULL SPEED ahead....
America%u2019s bigotry has come back to bite her. We have reaped what we have sown and there will be no miracle. God, as any good parent, will allow us to experience the natural consequences of our choices. - Reply to this comment

- Do you know what I think is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS about this situation...?
Well, you''ve got the evangelicals out there voting for Huckabee, who had Christian Hate Radio in a full lather prior to every primary, promising the punishment of God upon America if a Mormon were to get elected.
And the very same people have been flooding the internet with messages that Obama is a Muslim and "Wouldn''t it be horrible if a MUSLIM TERRORIST were to lead America...?!?!"
Obama is not a Muslim, but these folks have never been much concerned with facts....
The other thing that the same people flood the internet with is that Obama belongs to a Black Supremecist Christian Church.
Which is it?
Personally, I tend to think they believe both. Since both are "bad" they must both be true....
Now, over in the Democratic Primaries, the Democrats totally need to prove they are not racists or sexists simultaneously (commendably, religion has been pretty much a non-issue with them) and it is looking likely that Obama will be their candidate. Polls show that Obama will win over McCain.
Polls show that Huckabee would be annihilated by either. ANNIHILATED!!!
The Evangelicals who were "deeply concerned" about about Mitt''s underwear have actually worked towards getting a Muslim terrorist as president.
For those who don''t understand irony, Obama is NOT a Muslim or a terrorist, but the Christian Right enjoys thinking that he is -- or at least wants you to think that he is.... - Reply to this comment

- I''m for Huckabee all the way. We are responsible to ourselves and to God on Judgment Day for every idle word. How much more so for our actions? I want to show God I am for HIM, and I support those who support the ideals of the Kingdom.

- Again, I am amazed at how well Mike Huckabee states the important---to preserve, protect, and pass on our culture to the next generation. I am half-German and spent many years living overseas. Ask Germans about their socialism and the erosion of German culture as a result. They now see themselves with a birth rate that does not re-populate, an immigrant population that does not embrace the German culture, and with money that doesn''t even reflect their country name (Euro). Is that what we want for our country? Continue letting the government house, feed, and clothe you and see what you get!

- I disagree with the use of the word "Impossible" in the headline. That being said, I want to commend Joy Lin for doing such a great job of delivering "news" in her coverage of the Huckabee campaign. First, she actually knows how to write!!! Second, she doesn''t simply pull her news from press releases. Third, she''s a hard worker, and thorough. I have been following her coverage of MH for a couple of months now, and I''m impressed with her abilities. Thank you to Joy Lin and to CBS.

- We didn''t get to where we are as a Nation by backing down. We have had to fight for it, making this Country the greatest in the World.
Mike Huckabee is willing to fight for it and I am will to stand behind him.
There are still enough delagates left for Huckabee to get a greater total than Mccain, thus beating Mccain.
Sure, he cant secure the nomination in points, but either can Mccain.
WE ARE GOING TO WIN THIS!!!
VOTE FOR MIKE HUCKABEE!
